Positive: It was across the street from Busch stadium. Front desk was giving water to people checking in. St. Louis doesn't give away ANYTHING so the water was nice.
Negative: The toilet in room 1039 is messed up. The thermostat wouldn't go lower and it wasn't keeping the room cool enough like we like it. The carpet in this hotel looks awful and the hallways get too warm in the summer. Lots of people always waiting to be helped at the check-in and seemed like maybe 2 of the 5 people were helping ppl get checked in. I paid $50 per night for parking and had to park myself down the street. I wasn't crazy abt the valet guys at all.
Summary: Probably not again

Positive: Staff was very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Location couldn’t have been better
Negative: When we check in the room was 78 degrees and the a/c was on low. The whole outside wall was glass and the curtains were wide open allowing the afternoon sun to bake the room. When we put our drinks in the refrigerator there was leftover food from the last occupant. After we got back from the game and waiting for the crowd at the elevators (not the hotels fault) we got to our room and I went to get ice and the ice machine on our floor didn’t work
Summary: Overall a good stay but could have been better for a Hilton

Positive: Excellent location for attending ballgames
Negative: Price increase when Chicago is in town is wild. Even more wild is when you can’t check in until 4pm, so we planned and arrived at 4:30-4:45. At 4:45, the receptionist says “your room isn’t ready yet, so you’re going to have to have a seat and wait.” Excuse me, what? For $300-$400 for one “night” and I can’t even check in at 4:45? So we had to sit in the lobby while family after family checked in without issue. After 30 minutes of waiting, my wife finally went up to the counter to ask and the clerk says, “yeah it’s ready, someone should have told you already.” Wild. Management didn’t care. Didn’t offer a discount, breakfast voucher, not even a comped beverage at the lobby bar while we sat and waited. I don’t expect any of those things, but sheesh. For what you pay for one “night” they could have been a little more courteous. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times before and never had even a remotely bad experience, until now.
Summary: Valet pick up should be at the front of the hotel, not clear in the back

Positive: The location was fantastic. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, which was mostly to Busch Stadium, The Old Courthouse and Ballpark Village. The valet staff, security and maintenance staff were very helpful and nice. It has the best workout room I have ever seen in a hotel. Several treadmills, bikes, weight machines, free weights, elliptical, etc. The hotel is very big, has a couple bars and a restaurant on the roof.
Negative: Parking is very confusing and expensive . There is a ramp attached where you can self-park for $40 per night if they have room. Valet is $50 per night. You can park in a ramp across the street and bring your parking ticket to the hotel and they will validate it, but am not sure how it worked for paying as we did the self-parking in the hotel ramp. There are 2 towers and we weren’t told which tower we were in, so if it wasn’t for a valet staff that helped us, we probably wouldn’t have found our room easily. The hotel and rooms are dirty and need remodeling. The lobby is very nice, but other floors the carpets look really dirty and our room had significant water damage in the bathroom. The door had water damage, there was mold around the toilet, the shower was extremely hard to get to work and even the picture above the toilet had water damage. We had issues with our door not opening and we had to go a long distance to the lobby and they told us that we needed to lift the handle up instead of down, however, this was the second day we were there and we had no issues with it prior. They reset the key and we were able to make it work by lifting the handle the other way. There is no breakfast provided and not really anywhere to eat breakfast. We saw somewhere that you could eat breakfast for $18, but we didn’t find it and didn’t want to spend that kind of money on breakfast.
Summary: Worth it for being able to walk to the game and have alcohol at the game and not have to worry about driving. However, i
