Positive: Friendly staff, comfy bed, good breakfast. Overall reasonable value.

Negative: The room wasn't very clean. Bits down the side and back of the bed. Bathroom surfaces and toilet needed a good scrub.

Positive: Very central, friendly helpful staff. Let me check out later and didn't charge. Helped with getting around showed me where to get the bus. Actually walked me to and made sure I was in the right bus! Water cooler you can use to fill up your water bottle.

Negative: Need to clean under the bed that's my only criticism.

Positive: Hotel Kent Ani is good value for money. The rooms are warm and comfortable, the staff were very helpful even though I speak very little Turkish. Clean, comfortable, but you can see in the immediate environment of the hotel that the city is in a downwards economic slump. It is easy to find food and supermarkets nearby, the breakfast is simple but regional.

Negative: There was no way of showering without getting my hair wet. After dark and later in the evening the streets are very dark and empty, except for some men and street dogs.

Summary: Good value for money, excellent staff and comfortable beds.
