Positive: The hotel had a great location and was mostly clean, which we really appreciated. The staff was generally friendly and helpful, and overall the hotel felt well maintained.

Negative: The biggest downside was the price. Considering the level of comfort and services, the hotel felt overpriced. The breakfast was decent, but it was exactly the same every day. It would have been nice to have at least one special item that changed daily. The coffee prices on the terrace were extremely expensive, and the breakfast coffee was actually better. In addition, the coffee capsules in the room’s machine cost two euros each, and this was not mentioned anywhere in our room, which felt misleading. The minibar prices were also very high. Overall, the hotel was not particularly special for the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it for a couple’s holiday. There were also too many school groups, which made the atmosphere less relaxing.

Positive: The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the Colosseum, with a metro station just across the road, making it easy to travel around and commute to Ciampino Airport (metro + short bus ride for €1.50). The room was clean and surprisingly quiet despite being on a busy crossroads. Breakfast was generally nice, there’s a bar serving decent drinks, and a great bakery across the street with fresh tiramisu was a real bonus.

Negative: It’s a long walk from other central attractions. The bathroom door doesn’t lock (as the lock was way above the actual hole) and kept sliding open, so had to tuck in a towel under which is not really a 4* thing , and the cleaning staff were very loud early in the morning on the weekend. The plumbing is odd — toilets could be heard flushing throughout the night. One morning, breakfast wasn’t restocked on time, causing long queues and some chaos. Also worth noting: the city tax was €45 for two people for three nights. And very important … If paying cash, double-check your change at reception…

Summary: We enjoyed the stay, but next time would book somewhere closer to the main central areas.

Positive: The hotel location is central and convenient. Room assigned to me was spacious and clean. But, it is the staff that provided excellent service that made our stay memorable. For 4 nights we dined and drank at the garden restaurant and enjoyed Alissandro and Neil's excellent service. Every morning, Maria and Carolina greeted us with smiles and care at the breakfast buffet. Mark at the front desk was always welcoming and ready to help us plan our day and suggested great restaurants and hidden gems in the city. We definitely, will return and stay at the Hotel Milton Roma!

Negative: Only thing I would like to see change is the hot breakfast menu. We stayed for 4 nights and it was the same breakfast menu everyday. I can understand the fruits and pastries. But, it would have been a welcome change to have a different hot menu everyday or some variety.

Positive: The hotel is very well connected to the metro. It’s just one intersection away from the station. Breakfasts are very good, especially the pastries. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby to choose from. Being only a 15-minute walk from the Colosseum is a big plus. A larger grocery store is within a 10-minute walking distance from the hotel.

Negative: Breakfast could be served earlier (to allow for earlier arrival at attractions in Rome), for example from 6:00 or 6:30 instead of the current earliest time of 7:00. A very small issue, but in our room, after the air conditioning had been running for a longer time, it started dripping once it was turned off.

Summary: Great location with easy metro access, delicious breakfasts, and close distance to the Colosseum

Positive: Perfect location with access to the most touristic points either by walk or a few stops on the metro. Amazing breakfast, nice garden bar, very comfy beds and clean room. Staff was helpful and we overall had a great stay.
