Positive: The hotel is beautifully situated right on the edge of the jungle, offering a peaceful and natural setting. Our bungalow was set up a hill, surrounded by lush greenery and trees. Breakfast was excellent—everything was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. The hotel’s restaurant also offered fair prices and served wine by the glass. The staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help.
Negative: We did experience an issue with the pillows, which had a strong unpleasant smell, but the staff replaced them quickly without any problem. Even so, there was a slight musty smell in the room that lingered. While I understand that maintaining freshness in a rainforest is a challenge, it did take away a bit from the romantic atmosphere.

Positive: The bungalow is absolutely comfortable, well designed, with a wonderful patio where you can relax and enjoy the nature around you. But the real plus is Nee, professional and ready for a joke at the same time, with her girls, always there for any need you may have. If your son teenager is enthusiastic as well, there's nothing else to add!

Positive: Wow….amazing!! Absolutely loved this little oasis of peace and tranquility! Wherever I went on my multi-stop holiday, the beautiful Thai people werealways so pleasant, courteous and humble. At Las Orquideas, Yim (the manager) and her team took this to another level. My room was immaculately maintained and supplied with fresh towels, bed linen and water every day. the whole of the small resort (9 villas) was so clean and well looked after and the most tranquil and beautiful place. The pool, while small, was absolutely perfect for a refreshing dip and a place to relax amongst the peace and tranquility of the jungle surrounding. The fabulous Yim organised my day excursions and the trips to the Lake and the elephant sanctuary were 2 of the most memorable trips of my life. It’s possible to save $5-6 on these trips if you wish to by using other local operators but my advice would be to leave it to Yim and you will not be disappointed as Yim knows best….and everything was so perfect and professionally organised! Although this little oasis was like a small garden of Eden, it’s sometimes the people that truly make the difference and the owner (archie) and Yim were always on hand to help out, lend any friendly advice or just to have a chat and a bit of fun! I travelled the world staying in 5* corporate hotels for many years but none of those were as memorable as this little gem….and none of them had anyone as amazing as Yim who is the friendliest, funniest and most amazing hotel manager ever…the world would be a much better place if it were full of people like Yim and her team!!! (and she even managed to organise a surprise birthday cake for me on one of my trips…! 😎)

Positive: Beautiful location, very cool, big, shadowed glass doors and windows, which made it possible to observe surroundings from the inside of the room.
Negative: Hotel granted us “20% discount” on food ordered in restaurant. However final receipts were increased by “10% service charge” and VAT, whereas guests are not informed that prices in the menu do not include service charge and VAT (and nowhere else during our trip we encountered such practice). Therefore, it seems that guests are given “discount” to persuade them to dine in hotel’s restaurant, only to be charged almost full price anyway - rather ugly practice.
