Positive: Beautifull furnishings, pictures were great, kitchen fully outfitted. A really lovely place.

Negative: The next cottages outdoor seating area was right next to the fence so the seating areas were 2’ apart.

Positive: The cottage was more than enough for the two of us (the other adult having had to cancel). All comfortable, and reasonably well equipped. The standard of furnishings and finishes is practical, functional and comfortable, but nothing special - little 'wow factor'. We were defeated somewhat by technologies in getting the induction hob and oven to work - probably fine for those familiar with induction hobs, but we are always baffled by them - and eventually got the heating working (but failed to do anything other than set it to a temperature and leave it on constantly). It would be a great cottage for a group of 5 or 6, especially if youngsters are part of the group. We loved our time on Islay and Port Charlotte was a great base for exploring all around the island.

Negative: Would prefer a hob that is not induction based!! Probably that is just us though. Showers all OK but a bit mean sized - the en suite rooms would generally take a larger size of shower compartment. Finishes / furnishing all fine but no wow factor.
