Summary: Pros: loved the porch and view of lake. Loved the size yard for our dog (fyi…not fully enclosed). Size of place was nice and had mostly what we needed. Cons: very strong moldy, musty, mildewy smell that we had to leave early from our trip do to illness. Not to say that was the cause but it definitely didn’t help. Cleanliness in the kitchen could have been better but the rest was of the place was good. One big thing we weren’t aware of is people living upstairs in the house. I thought we were getting the place all by ourselves. It was fine after we verified they were supposed to be there but when you get in late and 11pm-12am people are walking around and out on porch while your dog goes crazy barking wasn’t fun.

Summary: We rented this house to scoop up our son from UAlbany after his first month as a freshman. And it was absolutely perfect for this purpose. My wife and I and two of his siblings stayed in the house while the grandparents stayed in local hotels. This house ended up being Our gathering spot to have breakfast out on the wraparound porch and plan our days The porch is lighted and has a view of the lake across the street. A bench swing with ample furniture for everyone to sit. A picnic table on the porch for eating outside. The inside of the house was clean in every area and the kitchen was stocked plenty to do whatever cooking we needed.

Summary: I’ll start with the pros: Good location Spacious 2 full bathrooms Responsive owner Nice view Close to shopping/ entertainment/convenience stores Full laundry room on site Large parking area Cons: Old , worn furniture Soiled extra blankets No lamp or tables in the main living area Unsatisfactory cleaning prior to our arrival Broken kitchen cabinet Under kitchen sink had old, water damaged “ cleaning” supplies. Overall the kitchen was disorganized , with missing tops for containers and pots/pans Dishwasher functions but is quirky. Takes multiple tries to start Oven not clean Two vacuums available but neither work We needed to replace battery for Swiffer Wet Jet and the supplies for it Many personal items left in bathrooms Old toilet brushes in both bathrooms. There are disposable wands and set up but no supplies Tub in the second bathroom is peeling paint No ac or dresser in second bedroom Dresser in primary bedroom drawers don’t close No hangers available in closets There is a wrap around porch which needs some serious attention. Moldy, peeling paint. There is a private dock with no safe access. Stairs from house to the lake are completely disintegrated and unsafe. The ad said beach access however we were unable to use it because the owner did not buy the $50 yearly pass for the beach. We were unable to do this. We committed to a 2 month stay and had hoped to be able to entertain guests . Given the condition of the property we were embarrassed to do so.

Summary: The house is not on the lake but you'll get that impression from the photo. Short on bedding and only polyester sheets. No soap in shower and no dish soap plus broken kitchen faucet. Nice big porch but no furniture other than the swing.

Summary: My wife, two adult children with three cats, and I spent Thanksgiving week at the property. Good-sized kitchen with updated appliances, and there was plenty of cookware and utensils, both for cooking and eating. Larger bedroom with private bath, and the other bedroom and pull-out bed share the other. Easy access to walmart and target. Very happy with the experience!

Summary: I can’t speak highly enough about my experience staying here. For reference, I’ve moved and stayed in over 30 short term rental situations. Both my mom and my father had passed away in the past year which coincided with moving from NY, NJ to FL to GA back to NJ. I’ve stayed in the entire spectrum of places. 50$/night to $2000 a night out of complete desperation . I consider myself almost an expert in renting out short term and longer term housing. For this rental situation, I had to quickly get up there to close on my mothers house, with nowhere to go. It was a very emotional experience but coming to this home was incredibly uplifting- heavenly. After only a couple days of being there I was sad to leave it and actually miss it now. It’s a magical place. Joseph is the owner and unbelievable in quickness of response time- So nice, so relaxing and easy. I feel truly lucky I was able to be there. It’s just a special place that you can feel when you arrive. Thank you Joseph! So nice. I am grateful and… Hopefully able to come back just to be back there!
