2 Bedroom Apartment in Menton

This apartment is on the ground floor of Residence Chateau Vallaya, a small tiered complex of 24 apartments built in 2005. The living-room opens onto an L-shaped patio and private garden looking south and west over the harbour of Garavan in Menton. There are 2 bedrooms, one double en suite and one twin with shower room. A separate WC is provided off the hall. The kitchen which is off the sejour, has a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric oven & ceramic hob. TV and Wi-fi, are also supplied. All towels/bed linen (not beach towels) are provided. The main entrance is on the top floor with lift access to all apartments. Our excellent location means you do not need a car, but a private parking is provided if necessary.
There is also a well maintained communal garden with fine palms & ornamental trees surrounding the pool which has a deck for sunbathing.

Summary: We stayed here with our grown up son. The 2 bathrooms were useful. Lovely terrace and garden to sit in and use of the pool was appreciated as it was rather hot. The nearest supermarket involves walking down the hill and then back up with the shopping. You need to be fit enough to do this. In the heat the hill can be tiring. We tended not to get the bus into Menton but there is one. The station Menton Garavan is a short walk from the apartment and is on the main train line along the Cote D’Azur. We went to Nice and in to Italy. You can actually walk into Italy from the apartment - about 20 minutes!The AC in the bedrooms was appreciated during our stay. We recommend this place.

Summary: Perfect place for 2 couples. Close to train station, and short walk down to the seaside for restaurants and groceries. Loved the pool!

Summary: We found the apartment to be just what we needed for a lovely weeks stay in Menton. The apartment is wonderfully situated With a slight hill to navigate to get to the back door entrance but nothing too bad and a lovely stroll along the seafront into old town to enjoy the wonderful delights of Menton, with its restaurants, bars and shopping. The pool was an added bonus if a little cold, but once you were in, it was lovely. The security to get in and out of the apartment is first rate and the apartment itself is very modern, up-to-date and comfortable. We will definitely be looking to come back in the near future. Communication was excellent, and Charlotte the Property Manager was on hand for anything we needed. The only negative point I would have is that the cooker dials are completely rubbed off and worn away so operating the cooker is a trial by error but it was easy enough to work out once you got the hang of it.

Summary: The hill is a slog but the view is worth it. We had a relaxing time with some exploring along the coast using the train. The station is only 8 minutes away via the back door to the garden. The villa was very clean and we had everything we wanted. We didn’t have a car so relied on a 30 minute round walk to the local shop for groceries. Overall a lovely place. Note there is not a BBQ.

Summary: Beautiful spot, convenient to city and beach. Very steep hill to access by foot ( for anyone who is physically challenged) but parking is available. Car is not necessary to vacation in this great condo as Menton is a very walkable city with train and bus easily accessible. Condo is very clean and well equipped. The garden and patio are wonderful and pool is just steps away!!

Summary: We loved everything about the apartment and the location. Spacious and appointed really well with gorgeous gardens and pool. Near the train and a walk into menton. Perfect.

Summary: Chateau Vallaya is a very nice place to stay. The covered terrass offers an breathtaking view over the bay and is always a bit windy. Menton is a delightful seaside resort.

Summary: Very comfortable, air conditioned flat with a five star view of Menton, Cap Martin and the sea . I would recommend this to adults with a car (Garavan is up a hillside) or use taxis for heavy shopping . The pool is very grown up and floatables prohibited, not really suitable for children . You could however, supervise them from the decking The kitchen could do with some better glass wear which is the only gripe I had . A great find and many thanks to Charlotte for meeting us
