Summary: Lisa, Mark and Tom were wonderful and kind hosts and made us feel welcome right away. The accommodation has a beautiful, well-kept garden with a fenced heated pool, which was lovely! Our toddler also really enjoyed the swing, slide, little playhouse and toy cars in the garden and while she was playing, we could relax in the shade of one of the many trees. Our gite (Le Petit Logis) was tastefully decorated and while the upstairs bedroom could get warm during hot summer days, the living room downstairs remained cool even on the hottest days. Lisa, Mark and Tom were always willing to help (e.g. providing us with clear instructions to a car repair centre, a nightlight for our daughter, etc.) and made it a truly enjoyable experience!

Summary: I spent a week in Le Pressoir with 4 friends. We spent a very enjoyable week exploring the Loire Valley. The gite was extremely well equipped and comfortable. The outside terrace was a perfect spot for sipping a glass of local wine and watching the wildlife in the garden. This is an idyllic spot for children to run around and play. Lisa and Mark are welcoming and friendly and their welcome pack was much appreciated.

Summary: We spent just short of a week at the Logis de Pressoir (in Le Petit Logis) at the beginning of July. The gite was perfect for 2 adults, albeit that the stairs took a bit of getting used to, and Lisa, Mark and Tom were great hosts. Most of our time was spent by the pool, enjoying the sunshine, but Brion is well-placed to enjoy Saumur and the rest of the Loire. We would definitely recommend the Logis!

Summary: We stayed for one week at the end of August/beginning of September 2009 and it was not long enough. We were immediately made to feel very welcomed by Lisa, Mark, Tom and Archie (the dog). The welcome goodies were very welcomed by us, what a lovely touch! There were families staying in the other gites and all the children seemed to be having a great time sharing Tom's playthings. We intended to relax and do nothing, which we did from Saturday until Tuesday, when the weather changed. We were forced (by the weather) to re-explore the Loire and we were glad we did. The gite is situated in an ideal area with plenty to see and do close by. I would recommend this gite for couples and families, in fact anyone! One more thing, we would highly recommend ordering a meal from Jane at La Gourmande du Tertre we were sorry we had not done so earlier in the week so we could have had two! Thank you again Lisa Mark and Tom. Hope to see you again in the future.

Summary: This was exactly the break we wanted; a small, well equipped, two person gite converted from old vineyard buildings, set in picturesque and relaxing environment. Le Petit Logis is pretty, comfortable and functional. It is obvious that Mark and Lisa have thought carefully about the facilities a self-catering gite should offer; the attention to detail will bring a smile to your face. The welcome pack and the information on the local area was especially useful and well prepared. The property is located a short walk from Brion village centre and has good proximity to the main transit routes in the area (to Saumur and Angers), offering the perfect balance of tranquality and acessibility. There is also an Intermarche supermarket and 24hr petrol station within 10 mins. There is enough to keep you occupied in this area for at least ten days or more. On your doorstep are pleasant walks and bike rides, but a short drive away you have the Loire river, two zoos (each have a different focus and worth a visit), numerous chateaux to visit (Usse and Azy le Rideau are nice), wine tasting / cave visits (around Saumur) and much more. Further afield there are adventure parcs and medievel attractions. I would thoroughly recommend the Saumur area for a visit but Mark and Lisa could not have been better hosts with a beautiful property to be enjoyed by couples and families alike.
