Positive: Very nice island with friendly people. The staff is so nice and make good food for you. The beds are great and there is mosquito netting above the bed, which was helpful as the insect nets in front of the windows had holes in it. The staff does a great job in making you feel at home and will help you out with anything. There’s a resort 15 mins walk from the property where you’ll be able to buy some bottles of water and other drinks.

Positive: The room was very well kept, the most comfortable place we stayed during our Yasawa island trip! Lots of activities to choose from and the food provided was delicious. The host family were so nice and even took us to Sunday Church service with them - truly an amazing experience. Thank you very much to the lovely family for providing us with an amazing stay.

Positive: Absolutely beautiful views. The rooms are also very comfortable and nice. We did sabu sabu which is when you find kava in the village to give to the chief for access into the village and played volleyball and games with the kids. We were also very lucky to watch a dance and join them in drinking kava. They picked us up from a boat from octopus resort as we were coming down south from the yasawa flyer. Stay respectful of the village people when you come and bring clothes to cover your legs and shoulders.

Negative: A bit hard to contact and wasn't really sure what was happening most of the time. Food is an extra cost for each person and you have to pay in cash, so make sure you bring a lot of cash. Water also wasn't working at the time so we couldn't take any showers or flush the toilet. No internet of wifi here.

Summary: Nice cultural experience, beautiful views.

Positive: Maikai and his family were generous, kind and extremely accommodating, including us in welcome ceremonies and a family picnic. The room was great, spacious, private and clean. The location is right next to a village where the people are friendly and you can look around the kindergarten and get to know the people and round the corner from a resort too where you can do activities if you like. We had a great few days here and would’ve loved to stay longer. It’s an excellent homestay.
