The Space:
The views from this property are breathtaking - of Table Cape, Bass Strait, Rocky Cape and inland to the mountainous North West hinterland. The gardens are stunning - designed by an artist around an avenue of century old elm trees, they have been nurtured for years and are now sought out as a wedding venue.
Guests are offered fresh farm eggs, hand-made granola and can avail themselves of orchard produce. Mallavale Farm's fertile paddocks run contented beef cattle and guests can also visit the property's unique rainforest block. This is all located just 2km from beautiful Boat Harbour beach.

Boat Harbour has been named one of Australia's top ten beaches. Mallavale Farm is located at the top of the Boat Harbour hill, just 2km from the beach, boasting panoramic views of Bass Strait, Table Cape and Rocky Cape and inland towards Cradle Mountain. There's a great café down at the bustling surf club and the Boat Harbour township on the Bass Highway has a fabulous café (Thistle Hut) and general store/fuel stop. Wynyard is 15km down the road, with direct airport links to Melbourne and great shopping, sporting and medical facilities. If you can drag yourself away from the deck, or the white sands and clear turquoise waters of the beach, there are so many fabulous day trips possible from here - to the Tarkine Wilderness, Stanley Village and the Nut, Cradle Mountain, Leven Canyon, Dip Falls, Montezuma Falls to name just a few. Sisters Beach and the Rocky Cape National Park are located just five minutes down the road, as is the natural wonder of Table Cape, with its iconic lighthouse and tulip farm.

Summary: What an absolute gem of a property! Could not fault anything; clean, warm, great facilities, and beautiful surroundings. The children (4 and under 2) loved the gardens, especially the swings, and totally fell in love with the cattle. Georgia was a life saver when we needed an additional night, and responded quickly to any of our requests. Highly recommend for a stopping point for travelling in this part of Tassie. We were able to enjoy day trips around the north-west without taxing the tolerance of our little people, and had a lovely base to return to each night. Thank you!!

Summary: We had a very relaxing stay here. It was lovely to wake up to the sunshine in the garden and had breakfast on the deck. It was a nice touch with the home made Granola and fresh farm eggs. There are also sporting equipment and board games for the family to use. Less than 5 minutes drive from Boat Harbour Beach, and 15 minutes drive from the closest supermarket. We would love to stay again in the future.

Summary: After staying in a number of Air B&B properties it was an absolute delight to arrive at Mallavale Farm to find a neat and tidy cottage set within a stunning garden. We had privacy and quiet all week with everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage was thoroughly clean with fresh flowers as a welcome. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you.
