Come and enjoy a modern, tidy and well-presented air-conditioned 3 bedroom villa in the beautiful and friendly town of Manta Rota, in the Eastern Algarve. Nicely decorated and fully-outfitted, the villa has 3 double bedrooms (one with a double bed, two with two twins each) and two full bathrooms on the first floor, as well as a WC on the ground floor.

This villa is professionally managed and thoroughly cleaned by a professional company between visits. With only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, the villa also has a beautiful enclosed outdoor space so you can spend your day in the sun by the private pool if you want a quiet holiday away from any crowds - or if you just want to have options.
For those who like to cook, the well-stocked kitchen has a gas hob, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, as well as a washing machine so you can pack more lightly and free up suitcase space for the wine and souvenirs you will want to bring back. The comfortable open plan living and dining room is laid out for socialising, and it opens on to a sunny, private wrap around patio/garden that has a handy outdoor shower, lots of outdoor eating space for dining in the sun and a large barbecue grill. A wicker outdoor lounge set is perfect for eating and relaxing well into the evening, covered from the sun by a pergola.
The villa has air-conditioning in each of the bedrooms as well as the living/dining room to keep you cool and comfortable during hot Portuguese summer.
The villa has a private pool (approximately 4m x 4m).
New for 2024- We have all new mattresses in all bedrooms, replaced the bathroom vanities in the upstairs bathrooms, retiled the pool , and replaced the toaster.
This villa is set in an excellent location in front of a small park within in a residential neighbourhood that is a 1 km walk (about 10-15 mins) to the beach and an 8 minute walk to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and the shops of Manta Rota, so a car is not required. The beach of Manta Rota is popular because it is easily accessed on foot -no need to take a ferry or train- and has a convenient boardwalk that stretches up and down the beach, giving you full access to kilometres of blue-flag beaches. The water here is calmer and warmer than West, and perfect for families and those with children.
Golfers will also find lots to do as well. You will find four golf courses within 15 km, including the Monte Rei Golf Course which is only a 10 minute drive away.
If you want to see the region, the city of Tavira is a 15 minute drive west (or you can take a train from the next village over) which has beautiful historical sights with lots of shopping, bars and restaurants, or you can drive east 15 minutes to Vila Real and the Spanish border.

Summary: Fabulous fortnight in this perfect villa. Great location, great size villa and pool. Hired a car to see the rest of the Algarve. Just wonderful, can't recommend enough. The owners are super friendly and quick to respond to queries.

Summary: This villa had everything we needed, and we all enjoyed the pool. The patio areas, BBQ and beautiful pots of plants which lit up at dark with pretty solar lights made our evenings extra special. We loved Manta Rota, the restaurants, cafes, bars and the clean and spacious beach. The kids loved the entertainment at the plaza. Everyone was friendly, especially the locals. The butchers made us some impressive chicken kebabs. We appreciated the hosts leaving us to do our own thing but there if we needed them. We slept well as there was aircon in the bedrooms as well as the living room. The kitchen was very well equipped. We also took the ferry to Spain for a few hours and had tapas before returning. We wish we could have stayed for a second week.Thank you.

Summary: Al's house is located in a nice neighborhood, about 1km from the beach and the center of Manta Rota. Although it takes a few minutes, it is perfectly possible to walk everywhere. The outside space of the house is wonderful and has undergone improvements over the years (we had already stayed in this house 3 years ago). The interior of the house could use some improvements and updates, but it was enough for us to spend a very pleasant week on vacation. I highly recommend it!

Summary: Excellent from the start. The villa owner was very quick to respond to questions and also reminded us about the toll roads just before we arrived which was a lifesaver. The villa is lovely and well equipped. It's obviously someone's much loved holiday home rather than some of the pure rentals. It's well equipped and spotlessly clean. Goncales from the local management company was also very helpful. I rang to report that we needed a new spare gas bottle and it was delivered within 10 mins. Manta Rota is a lovely resort and we really enjoyed our week.

Summary: We rented this villa knowing it was somewhat close to the beach. However the quiet neighborhood of this small village gets us thinking about a return visit. It is as advertised...within walking distance of beach, bars and restaurants. Food variety was great and many places to select. After time at the beach it was so nice to “come home” to a private place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine poolside. One week was not enough. Language barrier was never an issue. Our Portuguese was marginal, but so much English is common in shops, the beach and eateries. The villagers are friendly and helpful.

Summary: This was our second visit to this lovely villa. This time friends came with us and were blown away by the Eastern Algarve, having only stayed around the Vilamoura area previously. Manta Rota beach is unbelievable and is just a short walk away. Local restaurants in Manta Rota and Vila Nova de Cacela serve excellent, traditional food at very reasonable prices. For golfers it could not be a better location with a variety of fantastic courses within easy reach. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Summary: This place is idyllic. We have stayed in this area for the last ten years or so, and this was the best yet. Perfect location, particularly for golfers. We have played around Vilamoura, but the courses that you are central to here we think are far more beautiful and, in some cases, more testing: Quinta do Val, Castro Marim, Benamor, Quinta da Ria etc. etc. Local restaurants serve delicious Portuguese food - particularly try "O Pedro's" and "Sabinos" a short walk away in Vila Nova de Cacela - definitely our preferred eateries. The accommodation is wonderful - well equipped, peaceful and well maintained. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. A fantastic location for golfers and non-golfers alike. Right near the beautiful town of Tavira and a very short walk to the most beautiful Manta Rota beach - simply wonderful. We're definitely going back next year - could not fault it.
