It's Never A Better Day than a Day at the Lake!
Lake living has never been easier! Enjoy your time at Rough River Lake staying in this beautiful private home with room for everyone! Enjoy the 1.5 acres offering privacy with beautiful seasonal views of the lake!
Sit back and relax on the large wrap-around deck with tons of seating, or gather around the fire pit for marshmallows!
Walk down the easy walking path to the lake for swimming, fishing, and relaxing. The boat launch is 15 min away, trailer storage is onsite.
The space
The main house is 1600 sf with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Large eat-in kitchen with table that seats 6, additional seating for 6 at the outdoor table. The kitchen is well stocked for your cooking needs with a full-size refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and microwave. There is also a full-size washer and dryer for use.
There's room for everyone with the 3 bedrooms and bunkhouse:
Master bedroom has a queen bed and a private bath
2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds
3rd bedroom has a full-size bed
Pull-out sofa: queen size in the family room
Bunkhouse:
1 full-size bed, 1 twin bed, 1 sofa, recliner, and table with 4 chairs. The bunkhouse is located next to the main house
Large family room with electric fireplace and 65" smart tv with Netflix. Games and books are located in the hallway bookcases for additional family fun!
What we provide:
We provide bath towels, all linens, and some paper products, bar soap, and dish soap. Please bring your own shampoo/conditioner and other personal products.
We provide 4 beach towels, please bring additional if you require more.
Wifi is limited to the house/bunkhouse.
The Lake:
We are located in Cave Creek Cove- most of the cove is a no-wake zone so swimming is great here! The Cave Creek campground is 15 minutes away for your boat launch needs and the boat ride back to our area is 3 minutes long!
We have an area for swimming and fishing, please note we do not have a "sandy area", the best place for this is on the islands in the lake. There are several places on the lake for jet ski and boat rentals. See the online guide for additional information.
We provide 2 kayaks for your use. Please bring your own life jacket. Kayaks are used at your own risk and you must follow lake safety rules and wear your life jacket at all times.
Please note: as much as we love our own pets, we do not allow pets at this house to allow those with allergies or sensitivities a pet-free environment. We don't even allow our own pets into this home.

Summary: It was a quiet place near the lake. It was lovely inside and out. The lake is was down bc of dam work, but thats the only problem we ran into and something that cant be helped. The kids had a blast learning how to kayak. It was nice they had kayaks for me to use so i didnt have to bring mine, just brought my sons. The fire pit was so nice also!! The only thing i recommed is maybe a screen door on the front, the bugs are bad with the big lights outside.. if your looking for peace and quiet this is it!!!

Summary: The house was great! It’s located in a quiet, woodsy resort area. The house was to clean and well organized. The host was equipped with utensils, linen, and even some outdoor activities. The outdoor home the comes with the location is also really nice. The pictures that are attached don’t even do justice to the house in person. The location is so quiet and relaxing. The lake is about a 6 minute walk from the home but it’s such a nice little hike down hill to see. Overall the home was amazing and will definitely be coming back in the future to book again!
