5 Bedroom House in Camp Ellis, Saco

UPDATE on Russell Cove Cottage: Sadly the 1907 version of Russell Cove Cottage had to be demolished and this was accomplished in mid October 2024. New home is 5 bedrooms and 3 baths including an en-suite in primary king bedroom. We are in a family neighborhood and have a large yard for fun, games, and relaxing.
Construction is complete and summer is fully booked. First vacationers already loving the space :)
1st floor king bedroom across from full bath with shower.
2nd floor Primary bedroom with beautiful water view and king size bed and wait for it..... ENSUITE PRIVATE BATH with shower - I can't wait to stay here myself :)
Additional 2nd floor bedroom with queen bed and water view / another bedroom with full bed / and also another bedroom with 2 twin beds, one with a trundle for a total of 3 twins. 2nd floor full bath in addition to the en-suite bath.
Relaxation spaces:
*SUNROOM overlooking the river / bay where you will see lobster boats and likely some kayakers
*DECK adjacent to sunroom with same view
*FRONT PORCH for relaxing on street side
*BACKYARD firepit area with plenty of seating and 2 picnic tables for outdoor dining
*GAME ROOM for hanging out watching tv on big screen television or playing games - arcade basketball, air hockey, video games, and other games *COVERED PATIO AREA with hanging porch style swings overlooking beautiful water view
We have an absolutely gorgeous view of the harbor, relax with a cool drink while you watch the lobster boats bring home dinner! We are a mere one minute stroll to the beach - you can spend the day at the beach and still be close to the conveniences of the cottage - super important while with children. We have a wonderful yard for adults and kids alike. Our gameroom is pretty amazing, and kids will play air hockey, arcade basketball, video games without being overhead of the main living area. Such a bonus when it's time to come home from the beach, when kids are waiting for parents to wake up, or in the case of rain. Our house has something for everyone!
Our village boasts gift shops, restaurants, general store, artist studio, etc. Kayak rentals, deep sea fishing and whale watches available just down the street. As if that is not enough, Old Orchard Beach is only 4 miles.
Further details: Striper fishing is great! Enjoy ice cream and gift shopping. Lobster available cooked or uncooked right around the corner. Generations of families return year after year for the great atmosphere and fun of a true Maine ocean village. We believe that you will definitely want to come back next year, and we will warmly welcome you!
We provide a cooler on wheels, cart for transporting beach supplies (also provided), all linens, and paper/plastic goods for your convenience.
Home will now have heat and air conditioning without having to use window air conditioners.
Dedicated laundry room for ease of use and additional comfort.

Summary: We just finished our 11th year in a row at Russell Cove in Camp Ellis. That pretty much says it all. Quiet neighborhood ideal for walking and biking, 2 minute walk to the beach and to the corner store, and Huot's Seafood is just down the road. Grandkids have grown up here and were sad to leave. House was clean, and had all the amenities, even bedding and towels. And parking for 5-6 cars, which is more than most other rentals offer - a big plus for us. Sara is easy to reach if you have a problem. Great spot!

Summary: Such an amazing property! The view is beautiful and the house had so much room for our crew. The hosts made us feel so welcome and made sure we had everything that we needed. While this current house is absolute perfection, I can't wait to see what the new build next year has in store!

Summary: We booked this house for a family vacation including a family of 3, a family of 4 and 2 grandparents. HOUSE- since it will be rebuilt, the important parts are that it was clean, well furnished and the host is responsive . LOCATION - perfect! Quiet neighborhood, small beach at the end of the road protected by rocks which makes it quiet for little kids, you can walk 10 min to the bigger beach that goes all the way to old orchard Corner store across the street which we visited probably every day! Lovely lobster pound just down the street where they will steam your order on request, cute restaurant and marine down the other way! Easy drive to old orchard, ogunquit, bidderford pools (a must with kids to catch some hermit crabs) I am sure the new house will be wonderful too, we are glad we got to experience the authenticity of an older family beach home with its little quirks though! Great memories were made for all

Summary: We had a wonderful time at this house. Everything was included so we only had to bring our clothes! The place was clean and the bedrooms were comfortable. We especially loved the screened in porch! And the proximity to the beach. Having a corner store close by was another plus. We were a group in ages of 70s, 40s and a 17 and 12 year olds. Surfing was close by so they surfed twice a day! Would love to stay there in 2025.

Summary: We LOVED our stay here. The host was extremely accomidating and friendly The home had everything you could need. The views, especially in the backyard, are breathtaking. The home is so close to the beach, it really is a perfect location in Camp Ellis. The neighborhood is quiet and all of the neighbors are very friendly. Also, the general store is about a 30 second walk and open daily which is so nice. We will be back. We loved it here! Thank you!

Summary: From start to finish, the experience of renting and enjoying Russell Cove Cottage could not have been better. Situated steps from the beach in the fishing village of Camp Ellis in Saco, the welcoming and well-maintained beach house provided us with a week filled with comfort and relaxation. The ravages of back to back winter storms did not diminish our enjoyment of and appreciation for this unique property with waterfront views from the back yard and sunporch to the cool comfort of the screen enclosed front porch. Within walking distance of a local lobster pound , General Store and Huot’s Seafood Restaurant, one always had the option of securing breakfast, lunch or dinner locally, in neighboring coastal towns or by cooking inside in the well appointed kitchen or outdoors on the grille. The promise of the renovation coming after the summer season bodes well for anyone seeking a first class stay at a classic Maine summer cottage. Blessed this year with unbeatable weather, we truly loved our time at the cottage and look forward to returning next summer. Thanks so much, Sara!

Summary: This is our 4th year staying at the Russell Cove Cottege and another great vacation. The property is fantastic, it is totally stocked with everything you could imagine needing which makes packing so easy because you don't have to bring a million things. The house has a great front porch and a sun room in the back which are great for hanging out. The game room is getting a little shabby, but our boys still loved it and I know it will be part of the home make over this off season. Plus the location is perfect. Not even 100 yards to standing on sand at the beach, but great view of the Saco river...it is fantastic. We will be booking again for next year!

Summary: It was everything, and more, than described in the listing. Plenty of space for large family, the large porch was a plus and became the gathering spot for everyone. We had 1 rainy day and the porch let you relax and still feel the ocean air. Very easy walk to the beach and around town. Would highly recommend for family vacation.
