4 Bedroom House in Slidell

Sea La Vie is located in Slidell a Suburb of New Orleans. It is located 27 miles from the French Quarter and is an easy drive on I-10. The home is a three bedroom home with two large bedrooms and a loft bedroom for kids only. The home has been completely renovated in 2017 and everything in it is new. There is huge 100' dock with deep water access via boat. Bring your boat and kids and swim, ski, fish and boat in Lake Pontchartrain. The lake is a 3 minute boat ride from the dock. There is a large deck that has seating for eight and extra chairs for overflow. The home is 5 minutes from some of the best fishing in the country. You can even fish right off the dock in the front yard. There is phenomenal fishing in the Rigolets nearby with incredible salt water fishing and access to fresh water fishing within 20 minutes by boat.
You can play in the water or on the boat all day and hit the French Quarter at night for great fun and partying like no where else. You can catch an Uber, Taxi or drive. Great from two couples or a family. There is a sleeper sofa for over flow sleeping in the living room. The home has a nicely stocked kitchen with all new appliances. There is a double oven and large stove. The home has a large working fireplace and large dining room with a table that expands to seat 12. Great for family get together and large meals.
The home has 2 king beds, 1 queen/full bed in the upstairs loft, a bunk room with 1 full and 2 twins plus a queen sleeper sofa. Sleeps 8 adults and 3 children. The upstairs bedroom is a loft space.
No pets allowed
We will allow one certified service dog with a $250 non refundable carpet cleaning fee. Multiple service dogs are not allowed.

Summary: Overall it was a great location but the house does need upgrades. There were no rags or mop to clean up spills, no chairs in the room to sit down in, most of the pots and pans were burnt as well as the grill was super dirty and the spa tub is still not working.

Summary: We had a great time here! Lovely location and easy to get out to NOLA and surrounding areas. We loved that it is on the water. Our kids had a fun time fishing on the dock. House was clean, neat and organized. Loved all the bedrooms and space we had. We were a family of 8 so we did run into needing more TP and a dustpan for sweeping up messes would have been nice too. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions and concerns I had. Very much appreciated the quick and helpful communication. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the NOLA area.

Summary: No major issues. Had some water damage from recent storm. Owner notified us before stay. Enjoyed watching fireworks from the dock.

Summary: it was a much, much better alternative than staying at a local hotel. We would have rated a 5 except for some small details (e.g. no salt/pepper, no tea kettle, no oven mitts, no tissues, no bar soap, no pizza pan, no spare batteries for the tv remote). We arrived and immediately made a trip to the grocery store to get these things. There was no full length mirror and the shower door would not stay closed. A door code instead of a key would have been nice. These small yet fixable details matter. It was fun to watch the fish jumping. The interior space was super. The house was clean and bright. It worked out great for our family!

Summary: Everything was great except that the jacuzzi tub has some issues that made it unable to be used which was disappointing since it was one of the reasons we chose the house.
