North Lodge is a refurbished and immaculately maintained 2 bedroom timbered cottage with comfortable and spacious living spaces and excellent facilities. Sleeps 4. Bedrooms: 1 x king & 1 x double ensuite bedrooms with showers (no bath in the property). Full kitchen inc. fan oven, grill, fridge, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery, washer-dryer. Lounge with sofas, Freeview TV & DVD player, Free fibre broadband Wifi , patio, private garden overlooking the fields. Free Parking on site.
Pets accepted (max 2, £5/per/night - billed directly (not via VRBO) - after booking)
For stays over 14 nights we add an additional weekly cleaning fee of £40/week (billed separately, after booking, not via VRBO)

Summary: A beautiful cottage, so very comfy, spotlessly clean and welcoming. Excellent base for travelling around, breathtaking views. Great walks too. So peaceful and calm. The Fox Inn is the place to go if you have a dog with you. Thank you, we will be back on our next visit from France.

Summary: i stayed at north lodge for a week and it certainly lived up to expectations. the cottage was idyllic; beautiful setting, clean, and super cosy. the surrounding countryside is wonderful, my dog had a great week too!

Summary: Great cottage and lovely village. Wonderful place to stay if you're interested in the pioneering work of Spains Hall estate to introduce beavers to act as ecosystem engineers to help prevent flooding in Finchingfield and further downstream. We attended a tour of the project on Saturday and would love to return next year to see how the project is evolving. Our only criticism of the property is the kitchen sink which takes a long time to drain, suggesting that there is a blockage in the pipework.

Summary: Back in 2015 we got married at Spains Hall and spent the night at North Cottage on the estate. You never really get to fully appreciate that time and relax so as a birthday present to my wife I booked a surprise weekend away some 7 years later with the (now) family. You can’t fault the cottage. Fully recommend for a relaxing tranquil weekend away, was great to return and couldn’t miss breakfast in Winners tearoom in the village before heading home!

Summary: It was a wonderful 2 weeks in the North Lodge of the Spain's Hall Estate. A very roomy and bright lodge with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, living room and outside terrace. It was very clean and had everything applianec-wise that we needed for the two weeks (incl. a washing machine - very handy). Great countryside location and very quiet and green. Lovely walks to Finchingfield and further on! Can fully recommend it.

Summary: A perfect getaway for the jubilee long weekend. Lovely peaceful setting. Nice dog walks. Pretty friendly village a mile away with some smashing pubs serving food. A good base as well to explore more widely. Will definitely visit again.
