Ocean views. Great large family beach house. A large sunny second storey deck with views over the ocean from Kapiti to Mt Ruapehu.
Furnished as a home away from home: fridge freezer, microwave washing machine, dryer, Freeview, Stereo/turntable. Unlimited fibre broadband. Kitchen fitted out completely to accommodate home cooking if you wish.
Huge flat sunny front and back sections in a quiet cul de sac. Section and house maintain all day sun.
The large back yard and a range of children toys are available including sand toys, puzzles, toy basket and kids books supplied.
Located 200 meters from local cafe open every day from breakfast to dinner, or use the really popular local fish and chip shop!! Only minutes to Foxton Reserve, Playground, 3 Tennis Courts and Skate Park - Great for keeping kids entertained - Nice and quiet flat cul de sac for riding bikes, walking, going to feed the ducks. Estuary and Boat Club nearby - Suitable for boating - Beach is permitted for driving on.
This fantastic bach is a great family beach house.
Walk 200 metres to get an ice cream down the road or 200 metres to the beach - Or if you want to take a drive 5 minutes down the road are the Foxton Shops, working Dutch Windmill and Swimming Pools.
Can sleep up to 9. Portacot available. Two toilets.
Great holiday home or quick escape from the city. Just one and a half hours drive from Wellington and 30 minutes from Palmerston North.
Look out over the sea. A fantastic swimming beach with surf life savers on duty over summer. Great for wind activities like kite surfing, blow carting or just going for long strolls.

Summary: Dave was so helpful must say. The location was really great. We felt that the house would have been wonderful but there were a few issues. The photos on book a bach certainly arent what you find when you open the door.The house was quite dirty. To be honest the place could do with a professional clean. We needed to clean before we could unpack. There were rails missing on the deck not toddler friendly as advertised as was the gate at the top of the outdoor stairway just a hook catch which the three year old just undid straight away. Again not child friendy.Very dangerous. Duvets had been slept in no clean covers but we took our own. We also needed to hang the duvets on the line in the sunshine.due to them being very smelly.

Summary: A genuine old school Kiwi bach (dated but very homley/comfortable) Excellent location. Great communication with the owner. Would definitely stay again

Summary: The house was in a great spot 2 min walk to the beach. Great deck to sit on and enjoy the sun. 3 good size rooms and 1 small room. But the house was dirty, The toilets leaked water all over the floor.There was sand although the shower. The duvets supplied were dirty ( we had our own sheets and pillows so didnt use anything there.) We only stayed 1 night instead of two. Its a shame as the house has a lot of potential it just needs a really good clean.

Summary: Very near to the beach, the bedrooms are warm and have plenty of small heaters. David is a good host. The house has everything for family, oven works super fine. Didnt have any issue with the hot water.

Summary: A typical Bach that is large and plenty of room for all the whānau. Close to beach and amenities. Huge deck. A little old and weathered but suited our purpose

Summary: Great batch style house close to the beach and the pub. Got everything you need. Showers average but with a short stay dont need it. Us cousins meet once a year to catch up and chill for a weekend away. Will be back.

Summary: We booked last minute for between Xmas/NY when there were only a couple of places left in Foxton Beach. I was surprised this place was still available given the low price and proximity to the beach - the other one was the same size but 3x the price. The photos on the listing don’t do this place justice. I suspect brighter/clearer photos with white duvet covers and more sea and lawn views would bring more bookings. The first floor deck (looks newish) has a great view of the sea, it was so nice sitting out there in the evening with a glass of wine. I’d describe this place as well worn & loved. We didn’t see any issues with cleanliness that some of the other reviews mentioned. We have stayed in many baches along the Kapiti coast and this place was well equipped and well maintained. Wifi was a bonus too. No dishwasher but that’s usually the case with baches. There’s a private path to the beach. The back & front lawn were great for the kids to kick a ball around. Being the middle of summer there were plenty of neighbours around - they were pretty considerate noise wise. If you don’t mind a bit of wear and tear, retroness and like a bargain then I’d recommend this place 100%. One of the other reviews said the jets in the spa bath don’t work, but we only used the shower which was fine. The owner David was very communicative and helpful.

Summary: We loved the house. Unfortunately, the heating upstairs didn't work but we sorted that out with heaters elsewhere in the house. It is a very versatile home, with easy access to the beach, and is not so pristine clean that you didn't feel comfortable. We would suggest a deep clean by a professional company once a year to keep it is tip-top shape. Would definitely come back
