Houses and apartments in Spain are often given names. Our apartment called Casa Caracol. Casa means home in Spanish and Caracol means snail. The name should symbolize the harmony is experienced in the apartment with the magnificent and relaxing views over the glistening Mediterranean Sea.
The terrace is accessed from the bedroom and the lounge area and the kitchen has a panoramic window overlooking the vast Mediterranean Sea. You can hear the lapping of the waves while sitting on the terrace ....
You can reach Nerja's largest and most famous beach Burriana beach via a short walk through the area's gardens and waterfalls. Burriana beach is famous for its many charming, authentic Spanish restaurants and bars. The area Capistrano Playa has its own access to the beach which is also the nearest road to the town of Nerja.
The apartment is partially renovated and consists of a bedroom, a bathroom, kitchen and lounge with extra bed. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your holiday needs. The bedroom consists of a comfortable king-size bed with new comfortable mattresses. Linens and towels are of high quality. The apartment is equipped with Flat LCD TV with cable and stereo with iPod dock. The area has security guard around the clock. Our "agent" Isabel is at your disposal throughout your stay.
Capistrano Playa has a new pool areas, located about 50 m from the apartment. There is also a popular restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean. There is a separate children's pool in the area.
The apartment is spacious and very well laid on their ca. 54 sqm. On the large terrace of ca. 30 sqm. housed Lounge group, food group and loungers. Bus stop for local bus and a mini market are a few minutes from the apartment.
On the main street before turning down towards Capistrano Playa is the nearest large supermarkets.
In Nerja city center with among others. a balcony of Europe, it is a walk of about 15 minutes. if you prefer to go by car, there is the possibility to park on the street outside. The street is very little traffic as it is unidirectional and is only available to residents in the area.
Capistrano Playa, with its award-winning architecture and proximity to the Burriana Beach the most valued area of Nerja. The area lies on a hillside overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean and the Burriana Beach. It is beautifully designed with illuminated gardens, walkways, waterfalls and an artificial lake with fish that lights up at night. Accommodation in Capistrano Playa has its own passage to Burriana Beach through the tropical gardens. This access is off to the public making it a quiet area. The area has two pools, a restaurant and an own small supermarket. Two major Supermarcados are within walking distance. The area is shaped like a horseshoe, all apartments facing Burriana Beach.

Summary: My partner and I loved staying in this beautiful, spotless, quiet apartment. The large terrace was fabulous. There are a lot of steps to the beach but it was a lovely walk and it meant we were away from noise. We had a car and found it easy to park outside ( Late January). We would loved to have stayed more than 6 days.

Summary: My Wife and I stayed here for 10days and agree with most of the other reviews. The view is fantastic from the balcony, gorgeous sea views, you can see the beach and hear the waves hitting the shore. The terrace is large plenty of seating and 2 sunbeds. Never saw a sunset but had plenty of full moonshine bouncing off the sea. The bed was comfortable, air con in the room if needed, lovely bathroom/wet room and shower and plenty of cooking utensils. I'd take some dishwasher tablets and a few washing machine pods. the apartment is set in lovely grounds, but you need to be fairly fit and not afraid of stairs think we counted 177 from the sea up to our apartment and another 30 to get to street level and the pool. Pool area is private and secure, nice bar and food sunbeds 8 euro a day for 2 you cannot take your own food or drink, but the bar is great and food nice and simple. As for Nejra we loved it, very cosmopolitan, with bars and restaurants in abundance and plenty down the back streets if you look. Easy to walk into but you could always jump a taxi home if you don't fancy talking the walk back up to the apartment. FYI the beach was good but it's gritty. We would recommend a car as the nearest large supermarket is too far to walk, but there is a well-stocked mini-market on the seafront (15min walk) but more pricey. We would recommend it, as we came home really chilled and only wished we could have stayed longer.
