Beautiful executive luxury home situated on 5 sunny peaceful private acres, glorious sunsets with ocean and mountain views. Relax in this beautiful spacious Salt Spring Island home surrounded by garry oak and arbutus trees after exploring the local beaches and hiking trails just on the doorstep!
This tastefully furnished 3000 sq ft two story home is perfect for adult family gatherings or friends sharing. The main open concept living area has high ceilings with lots of windows to enjoy the views. Two comfortable cream couches in the living room with a wood burning fireplace for chilly evenings. Formal dining table with seating for 6. There is a large fully equipped eat in kitchen with center island and high end appliances. A perfect setting for casual meals with 2 bar stools at the island and seating for 6 at the kitchen table. A charming white wicker furnished sunroom connects the kitchen and living room areas, great for those rainy west coast days.
Large decks with comfy outdoor seating area, couch, chairs ottomans and coffee table. BBQ, outdoor dining table with seating six for sunny days. On clear evenings take a dip in the arctic spa salt water hot tub then relax in a red Adirondack chair around the propane fireplace.
Located down a short hall you’ll find the main floor guest room, 3pc bathroom, along with a separate den/TV, office area. Upstairs there are two spacious master bedrooms both with private bathrooms and wonderful views. The first has a king bed, walk in closet, 4 pc bathroom with double sinks, separate tub and shower. The other has two beds a queen and a double, large closet, 3pc bathroom.
This home is truly a treasure. Very private and relaxing, a great base for exploring Salt Spring Island but so comfortable you may never want to leave!

Summary: Four friends from across the country shared this comfortable, well equipped home and enjoyed the view, the hot tub, and the deer in the neighborhood. We loved cooking meals together in the beautiful kitchen, the spacious layout, comfortable beds, and private spaces. We were able to access and enjoy the Saturday market, hiking, swimming, kayaking and exploring the area. A wonderful stay, clear and helpful communication and a very special home. Summary: My husband and I had a lovely time at Garry Oaks with our two adult sons and their girlfriends. First of all, the house was even more spacious than we expected. We had the option of eating at three different tables and of gathering in four different places, so everyone could do as they pleased. The bedrooms were also very roomy, with the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on in a rental, and they were quite far apart, so as early risers, we didn’t wake the kids, nor did they keep us up when they stayed up late. As an avid cook, I was particularly pleased with the beautiful kitchen, which had all the high-end tools I could possibly want as well as many staple ingredients. As for the location, the house is up on a hill, so it’s surrounded by trees, and there’s a great view of the water, so we loved relaxing on the deck and sitting around the firepit at night. Although the path that leads to it is bit steep, there’s a beautiful beach nearby, and we were especially happy to discover that the entrance to the extensive network of trails in Channel Ridge was a few blocks away. At every step of the trip, Lorraine, the property manager, was extremely helpful and seemed to anticipate our every need. Overall, there were so many thoughtful touches that we didn’t feel like we were staying in a rental but rather that the family who lives there was sharing their house with us, so we’d definitely return if we were planning to stay on Salt Spring again.

Summary: We very much enjoyed our 5-night stay at the Garry Oaks residence on Salt Spring Island. The home was robustly equipped with high-end appliances, indoor and outdoor furniture, a divine salt-water hot tub, very comfortable beds, towels, and linens, a dream kitchen, and an e-charger in the garage! Charming original art, and crafts, added more beauty to the many indoor spaces. Communication with the VRBO host was prompt, illuminating, and respectful at all times.
