Step inside this immaculate five bedroom estate on Kiawah Island - meticulously maintained and located on a highly coveted and sought-after street in the prestigious Vanderhorst Plantation community. Surrounded by live oaks and palmetto trees, this home offers privacy, nature, and the convenience of a 7-8 minute walk to our pristine beaches.
Arrive to a large southern-style porch with rocking chairs that offer a view of the Turtle Point golf course 12th green. Step inside to the first floor where you'll find the expansive living area, with a 55 inch TV, sectional couch, and access to the back patio. Step through to the dining space, which offers seating for eight. This connects to the beautiful, fully-equipped kitchen, well stocked for cooking if you have a chef in the family and featuring commercial-grade appliances like the SubZero refrigerator and Wolf gas range. An office space with desk can be found just off of the kitchen.
Also on the first level is the primary king suite and bathroom, complete with a gorgeous soaking tub, his-and-her sinks, a walk-in shower with multiple shower heads, and a separate make-up vanity with seating. The remaining four bedrooms are upstairs on the second level. There is a king bedroom with ensuite bathroom, one queen bedroom with private bathroom, a room with two full-size beds, and another queen bedroom - the latter two sharing a bathroom.
The outside oasis is a space sure to be a family-favorite. The private saltwater pool is the perfect place to gather in-between beach sessions. Lay in the sun on the surrounding lounge chairs, or spend time on the screened porch when you're in need of a little shade. The grill on the back deck offers even more options for home-cooked meals. The pool is also available to be heated for a fee, just contact our team to arrange!

Summary: Great house. Big bedrooms, plenty of private bathrooms and best of all, great pool with a strong heater. We have twice stayed at this house and swam in February. Not all pools can do that. Management very responsive.

Summary: Great house! Great location! Nice pool! Easy walk or bike ride to beach. House could use additional/different furnishings. Needs additional lounge chairs in den - only had one chair and one sofa for a 5 BR home. Bedrooms and baths are all very nice -- but has some outdated and oversized furniture. Could use smaller and simpler furniture with working spaces in each room for those working remotely. Great closets with drawers - so don't need oversized dressers.

Summary: The house is in a great location on the golf course and a short bike ride (less than 5min) to the beach. The house itself is nice. You can tell its aged a bit, but good value for the price. We easily fit two families across the 5 bedrooms and the pool in the backyard is a bonus. The property wasn't the cleanest when we checked in. It wasn't dirty per se, but just some small stuff like crumbs on the counters, dust/pollen all over the screened in porch, etc. We also had some small maintenance issues (pool chair broke - was rusted out - and the water out of the fridge wasn't working). The property manager was very prompt and came out to the house almost immediately to address (which was great). Would definitely recommend to others.

Summary: Property was very clean and very cozy feeling. We really enjoyed staying there and using the pool in the back every day. We were also amazed that even with all the trees around the pool, they were absolutely no bugs. We also enjoyed the proximity to nearby biking trails. We had a great time!
