2 Bedroom House in Matao Tiupeniu, Efate

Sunset Hideaway (formally known as Sanddollar) is a private property which includes two private bungalows and a large outdoor undercover kitchen and lounge area for a tropical island style holiday.
Live on island time snorkelling the amazing coral accessed directly from the property, kayaking, fishing, swimming, eating, drinking reading and relaxing.
The 'haus wind' living area is situated next to the large swimming pool which directly overlooks the ocean. The coral floor kitchen includes large bench space, a fridge and freezer, a microwave, a kettle, toaster, a 4 burner cook top and a bbq. The kitchen also includes plates, cutlery, glasses, serving bowls, pots and pans.
The two accomodation bungalows comfortably sleep 4 people each with a private bathroom in each.
Our staff live on the same property, close enough for help, but far enough away for privacy.
Sunset Hideaway is located approximately 30 mins from Port Vila airport and can have transfers arranged which include a stop off at the supermarket and local market for supplies.
A washing machine is also located in the laundry area of the rear bungalow for guest use if needed.
All linen and towels are provided.
Please note that the pool and waterfront are unfenced. Small children need to be supervised at all times.

Summary: We loved everything about Sunset Hideaway. Prior to arriving, Keely was a dream to communicate with. Then once we arrived, we very quickly got into the island living groove. We intended to rent a car for our entire stay, but at Keely’s suggestion we opted to rent a car as we needed it (which wasn’t very often). For a small fee the car hire company will drop and pick up at the bungalows. The bungalows are isolated (which we saw as a plus) and what that means is you need to be sorted with food supplies. We loved shopping for fruit and veg at Mama’s market plus a host of other places Keely suggested. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The only thing we took (and pleased we did) was a little stove top espresso thing for our morning coffee. Tanya and Edgar were helpful during our stay. We appreciated Tanya sprucing the kitchen each morning and loved Nica cleaning our bedroom daily. We wanted for nothing during our stay and left feeling so much better than when we arrived. Summary: Amazing setting, you feel like you are a world away, great place for family to relax and recharge yet a great base to do all holiday activities in and around Vanuatu as you wish. The local host family were fantastic and made the trip and stay very pleasurable, they are pretty good at soccer as well. Highly recommended property for your holiday stay and activities, recommend a rental car if want a little flexibility on doing travel around island and exploring places if you are staying for a reasonable amount of time. Have some great family holiday memories to look back on and will be hard to beat. Many thanks and hope to be back.

Summary: Where do you start! 10 metres onto the property & we were blown away, it was just as we had imagined it to be. Now to RELAX and absorb the serenity, perfect🌴😎 We hired a car for the duration of our stay and stocked up on supplies from the supermarket and the local fruit & veg market in town. There is a large fridge/ freezer at Sunset Hideaway to store all food, fresh and frozen. All the facilities and equipment in the kitchen are great, we made good use of the BBQ to cook our meals. Many thanks to Tanya & Edgar for making us feel welcome, even supplying us with fresh fish for dinner a couple of nights, after Edgar had been night diving. Absolutely beautiful fish. Thanks Edgar! The bedroom was large and the bed very comfortable with the all important mosquito net to protect you from the little biters. The servicing of the room was done daily, along with cleaning of the kitchen/dining and pool being done before you are even awake. Thanks Tanya! A lot of fun was had using the kayaks. Every night we sat down in front of the pool under the coconut trees to view the sunset with our drinks, perfect end to a perfect day. Lots of relaxing around the pool and a chance to catch up on a lot of reading, fishing, snorkelling etc, The fish life is amazing out on the reef. Our 2 weeks went by all too quickly, and we were very sad to say goodbye to our "island home & family." We will definitely be back early next year to this unique Sunset Hideaway paradise.
