Welcome to The Caribbean SandCastle, a luxurious and avant-garde villa suspended on columns above a spectacular beach. An impressive feat of engineering and architecture, The Caribbean SandCastle brings you closer to the sand and water than any home on the Caribbean. This beautiful pink-sand beach is lapped by shallow water that is usually as calm as a lake. Caribbean SandCastle faces west so you can enjoy the most wonderful sunsets over the sea every evening from your decks and windows.
Caribbean SandCastle, formerly Cool Cloud House, is now under new ownership. The owner added a NEW BEACHFRONT POOL AND HOT TUB!
The Caribbean SandCastle is located on Alabaster Beach, one of the most stunning and pristine beaches in the Caribbean, featured on the cover of Conde Nast Traveler's December 2012 issue.
Remodeled in 2021 and decorated with custom contemporary furnishings, The Caribbean SandCastle has a spacious interior plus extensive wrap-around decks and outside space. The Caribbean SandCastle's great room, suspended over the beach, is divided into three spaces. The Entertainment area has a flat-screen TV, DVD, and hi-fi sound system. The kitchen, dining area, and breakfast nook offer contemporary cooking and dining with extensive beach and ocean views. The ultra-modern kitchen features all stainless-steel appliances including French-door refrigerator, glass top range, wall oven, dishwasher, and microwave. The third space, the Chill Out area, hovers over the sea, giving a view and proximity to the water found in few houses anywhere in the world. Both the Chill Out Room and the Entertainment area have sofa beds (a total of 2 sofa beds in all).
The Caribbean SandCastle has four bedrooms, each with a luxurious bath (either en suite or across the hall) and an ocean-view deck. Two of the baths have showers; the other two have shower/tub combinations. Watch the sunset from your bedroom window, or step onto your deck for a morning coffee, feed the birds or fish, and listen to the Caribbean lapping on the sand. One bedroom has a king bed, two have queen beds, and one has twin beds that can be converted to a king. Each room has its own AC air handler and can set its own temperature.
Outside on the beach, beneath the elevated platform of the house, The Caribbean SandCastle has a large shaded dining area where you can grill your catch of the day and dine on the water's edge. An outdoor shower is also located nearby at the back of the house for easy access to rinse off.
Amenities at The Caribbean SandCastle include full AC, super-fast Starlink WIFI, Apple TV, advanced water purification system, and laundry room with a washer and dryer. Two paddleboards and two kayaks are provided, including a large three-person kayak well equipped for fishing or taking a longer journey.
The town of Governors Harbour, a ten-minute drive from the property, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.
Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The island, home to just 8000 residents, where everyone knows everyone, is known for being very safe. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, sea kayaks, bikes.

Summary: The house was clean and inviting when we arrived. The privacy of the bedrooms and bathrooms was wonderful. The kayaks and snorkling equipment made water activities fun and easy. The immediate access to the beach is unbelievable. The assistance if the property manager, Sonya, was tremendous. What a simply stunning place to vacation.

Summary: The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for my family of five. A couple of issues, the communication from the Concierge they assign to the home was not good and she should be replaced. The reservation portion had great communication. The grill was so dirty and so much grease in it we did not want to use it because it looked like it would cause a grease fire. The Hot tub is cracked and leaking and has to be filled every day. The Hot tub blower does not work. They sent someone over but he had no idea how to fix it, he said he just cleans the pool. We wiggled the wires and it did turn on but never worked again the rest of the trip. The wires are exposed and the protective cover is missing on the blower. This is in an area a kids can reach it from the pool deck. The switch on the outlet is loose and does not appear to be on a GFCI circuit. Several of the glass tiles on the pool and hot tub are missing and falling off, a whole sheet in one place is coming off, leaving glass edges exposed where kids could cut themselves. Some deck boards are loose and will need attention soon. I have an ocean front rental home in Florida and I know these homes take a lot of maintenance but these are issues that really need to be taken care of by the owner and this would be a five star home. Condition issues all related to items I listed. I took pictures to post but unfortunately this review does not allow pictures.

Summary: The location is paradise, as promised. The house is brilliantly designed, with two bedrooms and baths at one end and two more bedrooms and baths at the other. In between is open-concept with a living room facing the ocean, a kitchen and large dining area, and an entertainment area. The deck surrounding the house provides lots of areas in sun and shade. The infinity pool and hot tub are special treats. A tip about food: If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant, bring some of your own food.The only disappointments concerned property maintenance issues. An electrical problem caused there to be no lighting in parts of the kitchen and all of the living room, so we couldn't congregate there in the evening. There was no heat in the hot tub. The safe was already locked and therefore not accessible. The doorhandle to one bathroom was not attached. The water station was not delivered, so it was a challenge for us to handle the very heavy 18 litre jugs. The property manager was there to meet us at check in, but was away during the week of our stay and so these problems were not resolved.Otherwise, this location is... WOW! The beach is perfect, and a large sand bar creates a gentle entrance to the Caribbean. The water is crystal clear, allowing us to see many species of fish including gentle stingrays and non-threatening small sharks. A boat excursion took us to a bay where we fed turtles and stingrays, and another where we fed swimming pigs. WOW!

Summary: Three generations from college students to grandparents stayed here for a week. The place was very beautiful and the privacy of the beach couldn’t be better. Eleuthera is an island where you have to drive a little bit further to get places and there are major power issues on the island which is not the fault of the house, but I wish we had been aware of that as there were several long stretches where we did not have power. But if you’re OK with the remoteness of that type of island, it can be a fun adventure.

Three generations of our family shared a week of relaxation and joy. We played games, swam in the pool and Caribbean sea daily.The beach was easy to access and the ocean was clean and clear, We took out the paddle board every day and used the kayaks as well. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub was heated upon my arrival, as requested. A wonderful time was had by all! Thank you Caribbean SandCastle for a vacation we will remember forever.

Summary: The house was exactly as shown. There is a new house next door which is not reflected in the pictures. We were a little disappointed in the pool/hot tub. We paid extra to have them heated. The pool water was so low we had to put the hose in it. The jets were above the water line. The hot tub was basically empty. Once that was taken care of we used it the rest of the week. This home is a great size especially for a group. The beach is PERFECTION! Thank you to the people of Eleuthera for being so gracious and sharing your beautiful island with us.

Summary: We had a great week at Caribbean Sandcastle! Our party consisted of 4 adults & 3 kids (aged 9, 11, 13). We flew into Governor's Harbor which was just minutes from the house, picked up our rental vehicle, and the property manager kindly allowed us to drop off our luggage on the porch since we couldn't check in early. The proximity of the house to the road was a non-issue for us. There is a small house next door, but we still felt like we had the beach to ourselves. And what a wonderful beach! The kids rotated from the beach to the pool to the hot tub all day long; it was perfect. We found some snorkeling masks under the house that the kids used. We brought a beach canopy tent with us and used it every day for shade on the beach, which I highly recommend. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed several home cooked meals. One day we bought fresh fish from the fisherman who went out right in front of the house - talk about fresh seafood! The beds were all comfortable, there were plenty of bath and beach towels. The wireless speakers were a great idea and we used them constantly. The washer/dryer were large and efficient. The sofas were not comfortable, but most of the time we were playing games at the dining table anyway. Overall, the beach was fabulous, the pool/hot tub were wonderful, and we enjoyed our time at Caribbean Sandcastle!
