Characterful 2 bedroom beach cottage, a 5 minutes walk down a pathway to the beach, with its own small swimming pool.
Sea Shanty is located on exclusive Bank's road. The pink sand beach is a 5 minute walk away, and Tippy's restaurant is a 2 minute drive or 15 walk down the beach.
Sea Shanty, which sits in 1/4 acre of private grounds, has a roof top deck, overlooking the trees, with a view to the ocean beyond. There is a new 15 foot, private swimming pool for your use. The cozy master bedroom, which has King size bed, is directly off the deck on the second floor of the house. Downstairs is open plan, with the a small, but fully functioning kitchen, a dining area suitable for 4, and a lounge which has a TV and a couch. Off the living room, there is a small 2nd bedroom with a queen bed, and a single loft bed above. This second bedroom would suit children, but also works for a couple. The property is quiet and peaceful, with only few high end houses in the neighborhood.
There is high speed wireless internet throughout the property.
The property is centrally located, being 10 minutes from Governors Harbour on the beautiful Bank's road, the most sought after area in Eleuthera. There are mile and miles of reef protected beaches, both north and south, in front of the house for you to explore. There is great snorkeling and spear fishing off the beach directly in front.
There are grocery stores 10 minutes away and 3-4 of the best restaurants on the island are within a 10 minute drive.

Summary: Sea Shanty was just what we needed for a quick weekend stay. Conveniently located on the island and our absolute favorite beach is right down the path across the street.

Summary: Sea shanty was adorable. The pool was awesome. The owner came the first day to make sure everything was good and gave advice on what to do and where to go on the island. The beach is a very short walk, just across the street. Short walk to Tippy’s for great food and cold beer.

Summary: We enjoyed our 10-day stay. The sweet house was everything we expected—Clean, well designed and organized, and close to Governor’s Harbor as well as points north and south. The weather was hotter than we expected, but AC worked well. I especially enjoyed daily “workouts in the small and very clean pool. Jethro, who lives nearby, was particularly helpful with suggestions for restaurants and activities. Highly recommend.

Summary: The property was nice, quiet and peaceful. I truly enjoy the tranquility of the property. My only concern is the area gets dark if you’re alone but the island I extremely safe. I would book again with a few friends.

Summary: Jerome’s place is a gem! This was our second stay here, and we were so happy to be back. The location is great. Sea Shanty is close to amenities yet has a very private feel. The beach access is less than a 5 minute walk down a palm tree lined path that is just across the street. Tippy’s is a short (10-15min) walk down the beach. This year we made a visit to the Leon Levy Preserve – which is a short drive from the house, and well worth a stop. The house itself is very comfortable and tidy. While we rarely felt the need for the a/c, it was nice to have on the few occasions when we wanted to take the humidity out. The upper deck is a great spot for coffee/tea in the morning. The backyard is like a mini sanctuary. The plunge pool was amazing. Just perfect for a quick dip after a day out exploring the island. Jerome was available for questions, but never intrusive. He is also terrific at making suggestions for restaurants, as well as beaches/activities to do. We had another fantastic stay and hope to be back next year!
