Positive: The staff was very helpful and tried to accommodate us when we had issues. We got a free transfer every day to dinner location and back to the Lodge. We were staying in the Chalet (with private eco toilet and sink but no running water, there is a shared shower with sauna and hot tub, a „notmal“ toilet is available outside on the property. Breakfast is exceptional! ! You need to know how to make a fire ! - especially in winter (we had -20 degrees), otherwise you will be very cold!

Negative: The wood for fire goes out very fast, so you constantly need to add wood to keep the fire going (every 1-1,5hrs). This is not ideal for cold nights in the Chalet! One night the diesel heater stopped working and fire obviously went off in the night, so we ended up sleeping in -3 degrees. (We didn’t think about calling the emergency number..). The next morning we were offered to move to another chalet. The heater reparations started immediately. We also were offered to get a starter and a dessert as a compensation for the cold night.

Positive: The staff is extremely kind and helpful, truly welcoming. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the wood stove creates such a warm and special atmosphere. The sauna and steam room are also a lovely touch that make the stay even better.

Negative: The only downside is that the location is a bit hard to reach. We walked there from the center of Jukkasjärvi - a pleasant walk, but something to keep in mind - while getting there by car is no problem. Another small inconvenience is that the kitchen isn’t available full time, so you need to plan around the reception hours. That said, it’s a beautiful place and I would definitely come back!
