Positive: Absolutely amazing location right on the lakeside, at the end of a road. Very comfortable unfolding couch to sleep on -- better (for me at least) than most hotel beds. Clear and timely communication from the host. Great temperature control options (heating & AC) & decent blinds to ward off the early sun in the summer. Built with privacy w.r.t the other lodge on the property in mind. But it is really the genius loci is really what sells this place. If we have a chance to come to the Kiruna area again, we're pretty sure to prefer this place for accommodation. (Oh and if you're here, do check out both the Sámi museum in Jukkasjärvi and the visitor center of the spaceport at Esrange. Both are nice, and even better is the juxtaposition of such distant worlds.)

Positive: Quiet place in a very nice location with a great view from the room (probably a great place to see the nordic lights). There isn't running water but the host provided drinkable water + water for washing your hands. For one night it was manageable. The host sent me the gps coordinates and it was very easy to get to the locations using google maps. If you like a quiet, remote location and you can cope with the fact there isn't running water and only dry toilet, then it can be an option.
Negative: Not having running water + only dry toilet it can be challenging if staying for more than one night. It would be good to have some basin inside for washing hands, face even if it would mean to go outside afterthat to throw away the water. We have asked for sheets and we got 4 duvet covers (2 were ok because we had 2 duvets) but without pillows, pillowcases and no bed sheets. The sofa was not comfortable for sleeping, but for one night we managed.
Summary: Nice location, ok for one night.

Positive: I loved the location in the middle of a remote village and the amazing view. People around were very nice and friendly. I would love to come back and stay longer. It has two locations, one I stayed was further away from Ice Hotel (for which we chose this place). So the owner was very kind to take me to the Ice Hotel and drop me off to the station. I would love to come back and stay longer. It was worth coming all the way from Stockholm to Kiruna by train (very long journey) and then to unwind in such a tranquil place.
Negative: It is hard to go to places without a car or your own transport. Would be good if clear instructions were given 1. On the wifi, 2. Local taxi is only available at a very high price and UBER doesn't work. (I found out after arrival that the owner offers shuttle service to and from airport/station). Only the contact number was provided for Kiruna Taxi, it was very expensive. Bike rental could help. 3. No running water or shower. A sink or a basin would be useful to have. 4. Didn't use the Sauna as it was not encouraged. But would have loved to use it.
Summary: Remote hideaway, perfect view! The owner offered a free shuttle to Ice Hotel as I didn't have car.

Positive: This stay was a super remote one which doesn't even pop up on a map unless you have the shared GPS coordinates. A cozy cabin with an incredible lake view was all we could ask for. Most importantly, given how remote the accomodation is, we had Stefan who drove us from the main camp to our lodge, and from the lodge to the airport. At every point, he ensured we had all the information we need to make our stay comfortable and memorable. He was also very friendly and very knowledgeable. A big shout-out to Stefan to making our stay a memorable one. The property is incredible and given how remote it is, it is a great space to switch off and enjoy the serenity of mother nature.

Positive: Lovely lodge in a stunning location. My hosts went out of their way to make sure I was happy. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
Negative: Nothing. As long as you are aware of the facilities and happy with their limitations: decanted water, a separett and its use; then I think it’s pretty much perfect!
Summary: Basic lake edge perfection!

Positive: Me and my mother stayed here for two nights. We loved the view over the lake, unbelievably beautiful! It was also possible to walk on the lake since it was frozen which also was a wonderful experience. The location was a bit further away from in the city Kiruna (but still near) which was a perfect condition for seeing northern lights! It was very easy to handle stuff even if no running water was available, since they had provided good with one time use plates, cutlery and plenty of water in dunks. The toilet was also very fresh and without odors! The staff was also extremely helpful with answering questions and making sure your stay there was perfect! Very easy to contact at any time both before and during the stay. We had a wonderful stay and can really recommend experiencing this cottage!
Summary: Cozy cottage with an unbelievably wonderful lake view
