Summary: My husband and I were on an anniversary getaway. This hotel was really nice, clean, shower walk-in needed a bench or stool but other than that the room was wonderful. I would stay here time and time again. Oh breakfast was excellent along with the service. Everyone was friendly and polite.

Summary: I spent several days looking at hotels in the Baton Rouge area and their ratings because I’d never been before. We chose the Renaissance Hotel because of the ratings. The hotel was clean, guest services were nice, and the restaurant staff were fantastic. I thought I’d read that the hotel had a free buffet breakfast. They do not. They have breakfast buffet for 14.99. It was a typical breakfast. Parking was free but the lot was crowded. The pool was very small. No complimentary water in your room. Everything extra was for a price.

Summary: The check in process was pathetic. I had reserved 3 rooms under 2 reservations and the clerk argued that I only had 2 rooms. I had to go on-line, from my phone to show her the reservation. Only then did she do a deep search to find the other room. As a result our room registrations were all wrong on none of us were in the room with the correct name. This is totally unacceptable.

Summary: Great location, check in and check out were easy, liked that the check out time is still 12p, and housekeeping service every day Disliked shabby condition of furniture, TV remote wasn't working properly, stains on chair, not enough and no towel rack for hand towels, shower head water weak, hand-held shower needed, didn't feel the water came out strong enough
