Summary: The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is amazing! Right on the beach. The pool was very nice as well. Breakfast was simple and the coffee was great! It was the perfect relaxing and chill weekend!

Summary: We've been coming to Riveredge for years. We look forward to seeing what is in store with the change in ownership!! Was a bit annoying there was no hose spigot so we couldn't rinse sand off our feet after beach time. But the thing we were most disappointed with was the major change to breakfast options (really now just a Continental, not real breakfast). The previous owners always had hard boiled eggs and either bacon or sausage. That's gone now and since I have diabetes, there was literally NOTHING I could eat (just bread, waffles, more bread, pastries, sweetened yogurt and fruit). So sadly....no free breakfast for us anymore. Please consider bringing back some real breakfast that has protein selections. The elimination of breakfast food we could eat was a major disappointment regarding the changes the new management is making. It could make us wonder about keeping Riveredge as our 'every time go to' in Colonial Beach, because we typically choose places that offer breakfast. Also very much hoping the prices won't be going up w/ new management, it's reasonable now and we like that. We appreciate it's always clean, but fixing it up (which it does need) isn't going to make it any fancier than any other decent strip motel. We probably wouldn't opt to pay much more than we're paying now. Thank you for considering our opinions!
