"Tin Shed Revival Cabin" is a perfect secret romantic getaway nestled away in a wooded lot on a quiet Vilano Beach Street. The quaint "cabin in the woods" is just a leisurely 6 minute stroll to the beach or the neighboring tennis courts. You will know you have come to a one-of-a-kind place when you park and approach the cabin through a small path in the wooded lot. Outfitted with tasteful furniture, antiques, art, beach decor and a large comfortable Murphy (pull-down) bed, you will find this cabin to be a very cozy and unique retreat experience! A small screened porch with comfortable seating extends the living space outdoors and beyond to the wrap-around deck with seating in front and back. The cabin is stocked with soft and fresh linens, TV, and all the kitchen and bath amenities you will need for your stay.
The Tin Shed Revival Cabin sits in a historic Old-Florida neighborhood and shares a wooded property on the marsh and Tolomato River with a ca. 1920 home where author Sinclair Lewis, first American author to win the Nobel Prize for Literature, once lived. The unique property is wooded with large old oaks, palms, palmettos and fruit trees and is surrounded by other quaint old-Florida homes.

After a short 1 mile walk through the neighborhood streets and across the Vilano river boardwalk to Vilano Town Center, you can stroll down palm tree-lined Vilano Road (Vilano's "Main Street") along sea-colored sidewalk pavers to the Vilano Pier which offers beautiful sunset views across the river to Historic St. Augustine. You can also fish off the Pier. On your way back through the Art Deco/Florida Vernacular-styled Vilano Beach Town Center, stop in for a great meal at one of five local restaurants ranging from pizza to Chinese to Italian to seafood. Or pick up picnic/snack items at the Publix Grocery, which includes a deli, liquor store and a pharmacy. Back at the beach enjoy swimming, sunning, surfing, fishing and skimboarding. For a special evening, oceanfront and riverfront restaurants are within 3 miles from the Tin Shed Revival Cabin.

Noise Ordinance: The city of St. Augustine has a noise ordinance that prohibits noise between the hours of 10:00pm-6:00am Sunday-Thursday, and 11:00pm-7:00am Friday-Saturday. Violations can result in a $500 fee.
