Casa Almendro is located in the lushly landscaped gated and very secure complex of La Ceiba Suites in the Playa Madera district. La Ceiba Suites complex is conveniently and centrally located close to the town center of Zihuatanejo so no car is necessary as you are just steps away from all amenities. Despite being so close to town it is an amazingly private and quiet location. Within short walking distance from the condo there are too numerous to count delicious restaurants serving a broad range of tastes and prices, shopping and entertainment. If needed, taxis and buses are available to you just outside of La Ceiba Suites doors for just a few pesos. Playa Madera beach is an easy short 0.2 mile 5 minute walk from the condo and Playa La Ropa is an approximate 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus/taxi ride. La Ceiba Suites complex has a strong Mexican architectural feel with well manicured lush tropical vegetation throughout. Our condo, Casa Almendro, is a very private and spacious 1020 sqf unit found on the 2nd floor of the complex. Casa Almendro has a very spacious open air concept with Mexican architectural influences with rich tropical hardwoods found throughout the unit. There are views of the tropical landscaping from every window and from the additional two spacious balconies found in the condo. The master bedroom has a king bed with nice quality mattress and pillows, over the bed fan, in room air conditioning and in-suite full bath with tiled walk in shower and Talavera ceramic sink. Right off the master bedroom tropical hardwood french doors lead you to a large open private balcony with built in cushioned seating overlooking the lush vegetation and common area below. A second large full bath with tiled shower and ceramic Talavera sink is conveniently located off of the main living area. The main living area stays very comfortable with the 3 overhead fans and the open air balcony providing good air circulation as weas portable fans. We have two 32 inch flat screen color TV’s with mega cable in the Master bedroom and Roku set upon the living room. We have private wireless internet 50Mbps for thoseneeding to work remotely. Built in cushioned seating with numerous pillows for your afternoon siesta. The Fully equipped kitchen is perfect for renters who like to cook full meals with a 4 burner gas range, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, large supply of cookware, cooking utensils and storage containers. Off of the living room/kitchen area through accordion style hardwood doors there is a spacious open air covered balcony. It has additional built-in cushioned seating, glass dining table with four chairs and overhead fan. The dining room balcony has a view overlooking one of the two pools located on the complex grounds. Nice quality bed linens, towels & beach towels are provided to our guests. For our guests staying longer than 7 nights, a weekly maid/cleaning service and linen change is provided for no additional fee. Vanessa, our condo manager will greet you upon your arrival to La Ceiba Suites. She will introduce you to our unit Casa Almendro, give you instructions for your stay as well as answer your questions. Casa Almendro is a non-smoking unit, there is a designated smoking area outside of the complex.. The complex has two lovely generously sized pools with plenty of seating, tables and loungers. If you are flying into the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo airport, it is an approximate 15 minute taxi ride to the complex. Street parking is available to those arriving by private vehicle.

Summary: The unit was so lovely, Vanessa was so helpful and friendly, and we just had a wonderful stay. The bed was very comfortable in the air conditioned bedroom, which made for a very restful sleep. The location is perfect with coffee and restaurants just around the corner. We will definitely be returning.

Summary: Excellent communication with host. Very good location with easy access to everything. Place very clean. Note AC only in bedroom. Highly recommend it but be aware if weather is very hot the apartment will be very hot as well. I would definitely stay at this place again but not in the peak of summer.

Summary: Shelley’s place is wonderful! Clean and comfortable in the heart of the Madera district. Just a few blocks from the beach. Amazing restaurants around every corner of the La Ceiba complex. Shelley was very helpful before and during our stay. She gave excellent recommendations for a variety of attractions. Her property manager, Vanessa, was attentive and willing to assist us at a moments notice. We would love to return for a future vacation! Shelley’s place is highly recommended!

Summary: From the very beginning the communication with the owners and the reception from the manager upon arrival was excellent. This place is very private, secure and in an excellent location close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and the taxis are directly across the street. Perfect for 2 people in a tropical setting with 2 nice pools. Completly equipped, including a nice Bose bluetooth stereo. Ive been to Zihua many times and i give this place 2 thumbs up recommendation !

Summary: Nice condo in a handy location close to town, although a little noisey. Mexicans love their celebrations! The open air living was great, and the two pools were a welcome relief from the Zihuatanejo heat.

Summary: Casa Almendro is a large comfortable 1 bedroom unit in a superb central location in Zihua. It's a gated complex with 2 clean refreshing pools, a welcome benefit to cool after a day in the heat. If you are into Mexican adventures, seeking out local culture and food, then this will be a perfect unit for you to consider. Close to Playa Madera (10 minute walk), Centro (15 minutes), the open air market at Solidaridad (5 Minutes), and a Soriana Mega store (15 minutes). As well, and conveniently, there is a taxi stand right outside the main gate to get you to other destinations inexpensively. We used taxis to visit friends in Playa La Ropa on multiple occasions. a good selection of local restaurants are close, safe and entertaining. We recommend Rufo's right around the corner. Lastly, the owner Shelly's Mexican manager, Vanessa, is lovely to deal with and speaks fluent English. We had a minor problem with ants, and Vanessa's team were knocking on our door the next morning to do a thorough clean and manage the issue. Zihuatenejo is an adventure, and we'll be back to stay in this unit again. R & C. Note - Casa Almendro is on the 2nd floor without an elevator. Just a heads up for those with mobility issues.

Summary: The only downside was that they were working on a roof right outside The unit. It wasn’t full-time but a little distractive, and not very private at that time.
