Positive: Spacious room with all the essentials provided. Very clean, with PAT-tested electricals and a working TV. Bathroom was nice, with good hot water. Breakfast was delicious, and the pub downstairs had a lovely ambience with great service and drinks. Overall, a really nice and cozy stay!
Negative: Only downsides were the lack of a lift, which made carrying luggage a bit tricky, and one mattress that was quite firm (though the smaller bed was soft, cozy, and very comfortable).

Positive: Really friendly chaps on the reception. You can see the effort they have put in by the quality of the renovated rooms. Gorgeous sea view. Was just sad to only be there for a short stay. Scratching my head on the bad reviews. Would definately go back.

Positive: The location was perfect, right on the seafront and town with a short walk from the railway station. We had a Seaview room, which was a lovely view (minus the bird poo on the window). The staff overall were friendly and a fun bar is also attached within the hotel.
Negative: The bed was far too hard, and the pillows were very lumpy. There is no air conditioning in the room, so it was very hot. The windows only opened very little (assume to stop seagulls flying in). There was a small fan provided, but this did not really make a difference. We were not informed that some renovation works were happening during our stay, looked like an expansion to have a restaurant linked to the hotel and also rooms being upgraded, so there were workmen/tools/wood lying around the hotel. Whilst we only heard construction noise once as we were out most of the time, it would have been nice to know these were happening beforehand. When we checked in, we asked if there was an iron available, to which they said yes, just let us know, and we will bring one to you. When we requested one, the woman on the desk at the time said they didn't do irons, so either someone was lying or that particular staff member was a little lazy and didn't want to move.

Positive: The room was excellent and looked to be recently renovated. It was on the 3rd floor with no elevator which wasn't a problem but would be if your mobility is poor and you had a lot of luggage. Hotel is under renovation and will be beautiful if all done to the same standard as our room. Excellent location with beautiful sea views from our room.
Negative: Hotel is still under renovation, so some areas are in poor condition. No elevator which could be a problem for some as we were on the third floor with luggage.
Summary: Will be beautiful once all the renovations are finished.
