Positive: We absolutely loved our time on koh rong sanloem and at Sam’s guesthouse. She was absolutely amazing and helped us with anything we needed. She gave us loads of information about the island, recommended places which were good to eat and any events that were happening and she was always up for a chat. We wanted to stay an extra night as we loved it and she happily accommodated us at a discounted price which was fab! The room was lovely, and perfect for what we needed for a few nights. The rooms do get quite hot obviously but there is a fan. It’s in such a good location too, a couple minute walk to the beach and lots of bars and restaurants around. If you’re thinking of staying on koh rong sanloem I would highly recommend here! The island does experience some power cuts but they didn’t last long at all and weren’t an inconvenience for us, but it’s not any of the hotel/guesthouses fault so don’t blame them for it.

Negative: The room got quite hot due to there being no air con and only a fan, however this was expected and still think it was very good value for money

Positive: Sam and her other half was brilliant! So helpful and accommodating! Sam organised my diving even before I got to the island and when I arrived she patched me up as I had a fall earlier in the day on my bike and then carried on to help me for the rest of the time with patches! If you find yourself on the island I would definitely stay here! So clean and peaceful. I extended another night as just didn’t want to leave!

Positive: Omg - Where do I start? Sam is lovely! The house is lovely! The village is lovely! This whole island is lovely!! The moment it set a foot on M‘Pai Bay I decided that I would like to stay longer. Sam made it happen ♥️ she’s such a great host! Always helping you out and gives you a lot of information about what’s going on on the island, where to eat, where to chill etc. she always took care of me and was checking if everything is ok. Thanks Sam!♥️ The room has everything you need for an unforgettable stay. The perks of traveling is that you meet great people and great places. But the downside is that you have to say goodbye to them ♥️

Positive: Excellent home stay with a friendly laid back host. Sweet cats and dogs roaming around. Comfortable, clean room with a fan. No problems with mosquitos in the room and doesn't get too hot. Sam is very helpful and knowledgeable and gives the best advice what to do around the area and where to eat. Don't be put off by the number of reviews as the place is fairly new. Would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommend!
