6 Bedroom House in Ramsgate

Latimer House Ramsgate, Kent, is a lovely large Georgian grade 11 listed town house, with 2 nearby parking spaces. The house has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and sleeps 6 -14 people, perfect for holidays, celebrations, multi-generational families or friends. We also host retreats for parties both privately and for corporates. A great place to celebrate or bond with loved ones and or colleagues .
It Includes a gorgeous stylish & separate self contained apartment for 2, located under the main house, which is ideal for anyone who enjoys a little extra privacy. (It also has a separate entrance.) For larger groups we can arrange extra accommodation within a 2 minute walk.
Parking is free on the street, in addition we have 2 reserved parking spaces for our guests very near by. There is also plenty of free parking a few minutes walk away.
In the main house there is a lovely large dining room, just off the kitchen which is great for meals or games. There is sitting room on the next level with a balcony and lovely view of the sea and Van Gogh Spencer Square.
There is a pretty (south west facing ) sunny courtyard garden, with a table for 14 and a bbq, perfect for outside meals or a pre-dinner drink after a day on the beach.
The house is in a fantastic location. Very near to the Royal Harbour, beaches, restaurants and shops. There are 3 tennis courts opposite available for rent. Plenty of nice pubs and nice restaurants in walking distance. Great walks (including the Viking trail), sailing, fishing, surfing, cycling. This is an ideal place to stay for your golfing holiday. Kent has some of the best golf courses in the country including the Open venue in 2021, Royal St George's. Also nearby are The Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club, Prince's Golf Club and North Foreland Golf Club
The house is Ideal for friends and families, especially multi-generations of family holidaying together. Just be aware there are lots of stairs (it is a tall town house) so not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
The house is particularly popular for big birthdays and other family celebrations. We host loads of classy hen weekends. Equally suitable for groups of friends enjoying a break away - golf trips, walkers, book clubs, reunions. There is something for everyone, all ages. As there is plenty of space no one is on top of each other. There is lots to do within 10 minute walk.
Ramsgate’s Royal Harbour is a very short walk away and is really pretty. Full of cafe’s, restaurants. Next doors Addington Street has several nice independent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a corner shop and Waitrose a short walk away as well as a fabulous bakery. We provide a list of places, walks, ideas of what to do during your stay.
We can also recommend local caterers and restaurants who can bring the food to you and clear up after you if you want the 'restaurant from home' experience.

Summary: Latimer House is such a beautiful place, the photos and all I tell you will not do it justice. Deanna the host is a dream to work with and she couldn't have done more to support our visit for my 60th birthday celebrations. She was so flexible and helpful, even taking calls from my children around little extra touches they wanted to sneak into the mix without my knowledge! We are a multi generational family and the house lends itself perfectly to meeting all of our needs. The flow of the building, layout of the rooms, amenities, facilities, spec/decor, cleanliness, attention to detail and of course location are just a few of the reasons why I would recommend this place to stay, a hundred times over. Oh, the beds were so comfortable too! The stairs could be considered steep for children and older people but there are beautiful bannisters and none of the children [under 5's ] had a problem at all navigating them. Plenty of on street free parking and so close to the beach and walking distance to the town centre. We got a bus into Broadstairs one day and it was so easy to pick one up from there too. We had a private chef come in one night and he was fabulous , it was so nice to enjoy the house and dining room whilst the children slept upstairs The house is beautifully decorated and you really do feel like you are in a hotel - especially the room we stayed in with its own ensuite bathroom. So if you are looking for a place to stay and celebrate a special occasion, this is it!

Summary: Highly recommend and will go back! Fantastic stay in a gorgeous house and our host Deanna was wonderful and handled lost keys and found keys with great calm and so easy to communicate with! Very clear check in and check out and fully equipped kitchen for cooking full Christmas dinner for 12! Loads of fridges and ovens made life so much easier. Excellent pubs and eating super close!

Summary: We rented the house for a large family gathering for a week in August. The property is ideally positioned with only a short walk to the harbour and beach. Deanna was very attentive and was very helpful in guiding us on local attractions and things to do. The house had all the equipment you could want for, including buckets and spades for the beach! We loved sitting on the balcony in the morning! Due to fantastic weather we used the garden every night which is very private and is a lovely setting. A really enjoyable week at a lovely property in a great part of the world. 👍

Summary: House suited us perfectly for a multi-generational family weekend away. Deanna was really helpful in giving advice before I booked as to how the rooms would work best for us, given that ages ranged from babies to my elderly Mum (86). House was very clean and location was ideal for the beach and shops/restaurants/pubs. We particularly liked how the dining room and garden benches could accommodate all 12 of us, so we were able to enjoy the chaos of family meals! Arrival/Departure instructions and Deanna's comms were all excellent and overall we had a fabulous time.

Summary: Latimer House was a perfect Property to stay in for a Celebration. Exactly as listed it provided lovely accommodation for our Party of 7 adults and 5 children ranging in age from 12 to two and a half and the multiple bathrooms ensured that everyone was well catered for. The very pretty walled garden was used every evening of our stay due to sunny weather, with a BBQ also provided. If you are looking for a large elegant property for a multi generational get together or for a group of friends then look no further than Latimer House. It is perfectly situated just a few minutes walk from the lovely beaches and the pretty harbour with its many bars and restaurants and there is ample parking.

Summary: Beautiful Georgian Townhouse-perfect setting for a multi-genertional birthday event. Size and nature of the kitchen facililitated our exceptional chef,Ed Jennings,in preparing and cooking the birthday meal and serve straight to dining room and we were then able to move upstairs for dancing!!!! We all had an execeptional stay and our lovely host Deanna was always on hand to answer any questions and gifted me with some birthday bubbles upon my arrival-and other goodies.Will definately be staying again-Latimer house is fab and is right next to the sea .Thanks Deanna.
