Positive: Awesome location and great restaurant. I recommend for an upgrade if you want to have your own shower and restroom but that also gives you magnificent view of the volcano and wildlife especially in the early hour of the morning
Negative: The driveway to get there is a hustle. Rent an enduro motor bike and you will not have problems getting to the top parking area. I did it with scooter but it was a hustle.

Negative: The Photos of the room we booked were different of the actual room, in the photos the shower was inside the room, the room didn’t have the same view as in photos . It would be great if they show the actual photo of the room we’re booking.

Positive: Very nice location in the middle of the jungle. Renting a car or scooter recommended to access the location with ease. Nearest amenities are a min. 15 min walk away.

Positive: the property was very peaceful, the restaurant had excellent views of the volcano and delicious food. staff were very friendly and attentive. the massage service available was good value for money and they brought the table to our treetop house.
Negative: the property is up a fairly long and uneven track which is precarious at night. our initial room required us to use a separate shower block away from the house but our upgraded room had a lovely en-suite.
Summary: total relaxation amongst the trees with excellent views and the most lovely staff

Positive: This place is set on the most beautful hillside, with clear views of the volvano from our room and restaurant. The immediate accessibility to farm and petroglyph walking trails and the hike to the top of Madera Volcano was unreal. This place is truly an unforgettable experience. The free breakfast, with food, juice, coffee included was also a great value. We recommend getting an ATV to get up the road. It's very very bumpy as are some of the roads to locations like El Pital, Finca Magdelena, Mango Beach, etc.. And you'll definitely want transportation to see as much of the incredibly beautiful island as possible!!
Negative: Not a suprise, but I would warn you that there are a lot of bugs in the rooms. You are in a forest after all. The bed has a bug net which did the trick for sleeping and we were able to keep bugs out of the bed. There were some quite large spiders and roaches not for the faint of heart but nothing is going to harm you. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, but wanted to be realistic about what you may encounter!
Summary: Incredible jungle adventure stay on an exceptional island.

Positive: The hotel is really well-located in Ometepe and the location among the "jungle" surrounded by trees, birds and howling monkey is verry enjoyable.
Negative: The services of the hotel are really overpriced. We booked the rustic room which indicated a private bathroom. However the shower is located outside, which would be fine if there was not the "natural" toilet, which can be quite smelly. The mosquito net is full of holes and thus not useful at all and the room was extremely hot. on the first night, there were guests on the room above and it was extremely noisy due to the foot steps and the poor insulation. We rented a scooter bike, for 35 usd per day which is more expensive than the rest of the island, and when trying it, the tire was actually flat. We had to cancel a day because my partner was ill and we dtill had to pay a 20 usd cancellation fee. We also used the shard kitchen to store some food for our hike, which other guests mistakenly took, because some good was thrown away by the staff the same morning due to a power outage the day before. When we addressed this to the staff, they did not seem to care or even offered a solution (like preparing a quick omlet sandwich) which could have been a nice gesture., given that we went to s 8 hour hike with no food. All of this made us not fully appreciate our stay in Ometepe. Given that it was low season and not so many guests were present on the property, we would have appreciated some small customer friendly gestures given all the hiccups.
Summary: beautiful location but overpriced hotel with mediocre service

Positive: Great bungalow right in the nature and the jungle. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was really helpful.
Negative: There are a lot of spiders in the bungalow, but you are safe within the mosquito net

Positive: Lovely room, nice restaurant and a good experience.
Negative: Very untransparent about prices. The booking and their email confirmation confirmed one total price, but on arriving they added a $10 cleaning fee which we had no option but to pay. Slightly ridiculous as it’s a hotel… of course they have to clean it! The prices on the restaurant menu are all in local currency, but on checkout the bill is all in dollars and relatively more than the stated price when you convert their conversations back. The menu suggests that tips are not included so we tipped in cash but at the end of our stay, service charge was also added. They recalculated our food and drink bill and this reduced the price slightly but I’m still unsure on it all to be honest. Really lovely place and we chose it at a treat on our backpacking trip, but the whole charging more than they should put a sour taste in our mouth.
Summary: Nice place, bit of a rip off though
