This unique and spacious family home sits on the banks of Lake Pontchartrain which has a front porch that faces the lake and a rear porch that faces the Marina and Southern Yacht Club. The only double-wide boathouse is situated on the Lake Pontchartrain Marina. With views of the lake and Southern Yacht Club, this home away from home is perfect for your waterfront getaway! Serenity at the Lake features three full bedrooms and two additional twin beds in the bonus loft space. Sleep up to six comfortably in this home-away-from-home! **Pack-n-play available upon request.**
The lakefront is great for a relaxing retreat with friends and/or family. Serenity is the only home on the bay that features a HEATED private pool that is maintained on a weekly basis. Enjoy the pool and balcony for picturesque sunrises and sunsets, sailboat racing (on Wednesdays), bird-watching, and so much more.
Enjoy a bike ride around the lakefront and stop at some local favorites for great food and drink! Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar, The Blue Crab Restaurant & Oyster Bar, and Felix's Seafood House -- all within a short drive or bike ride!
We are a quick ride from the New Orleans International Airport, French Quarter, Mid-City, and Uptown! No more than 20 minutes either way.

Summary: My family stayed here for my daughter’s wedding. The bridesmaids even got ready here and they all absolutely loved it. It was perfect!

Summary: The home and location were gorgeous. The house was mostly clean. There was some pretty funky odors in different parts of the house (the laundry room was extra smelly after the rain we got, and smelled like cat pee), the deck patio and garage area smelled like sewage, and it looks like there had been a major leak underneath the swimming pool. The pool was non-functioning, and the management company was quick to respond and offer a percentage of our fees back. The only thing that kept us from canceling completely was the two person hot tub in the master bathroom. There were security cameras up on the pool deck, that are not in the listing, and other cameras down on the deck patio, so we also didnt feel comfortable hangout out down there. We were told that we could cover them because they were not part of the listing, however, they would still be on and able to listen. We did not spend any time out on the pool deck due to security cameras and the broken pool. I get that people want security, but it needs to be clearly listed and guests need to be told where all of the cameras are before arriving at the property and having to search and find them. It's super gross when it's not transparent, and makes me think other cameras are there but hidden. We almost called it quits on the property right when we walked in, but the management company had great response times and completely understood our concerns.

Summary: This place was everything we could have wanted and more for our family wedding weekend stay. Amazing all around, the listing pictures do not do enough justice! Hosts are also very friendly and communicative. More than completely and highly recommended!
