Summary: We three adults stayed at Christine's rental with the intent to hike Mt. Taranaki. Initially we were hesitant because other properties we looked at had more reviews to make an informed decision about where we wanted to stay. Something about the photos of the home really grabbed me, but it was the quick & friendly correspondence with Christine that really sealed the deal. Her communication with me was excellent: she touched base several days prior to our arrival; her instructions on finding the house and obtaining the keys for entry were perfect; and her welcome card (and much appreciated goodies) was a pleasant surprise. You can tell Christine has put a lot of thought into how to make her guests feel relaxed and at home; it made us really respect and take care of her beautiful property! Home details you may find useful: All upstairs bedrooms have a beautiful view. At night, it can get warm, but the windows can be opened for a little fresh air. My bedroom didn't have a trash receptacle, nor did the toilet room/shower room, so be sure to have a small bag handy to put trash in. The kitchen is nicely equipped with essentials such as a coffee maker (Nespresso? pods); bakeware/cookware; wine glasses; beautiful coffee mugs; etc. We didn't see oven mitts. If you sit on the patio in the evening, have bug spray handy: mosquitoes will feast on you. Driving to local shopping, gas & RX is about 10-15 minutes. We are grateful to have had a wonderful stay!

Summary: We stayed at Christine’s house for a couple of weeks while our house was being renovated. Christine made the whole process from initial enquiry until we checked out seemless and stress free. The house was spotless and well equipped, the views were amazing and our family were sad to leave. We would highly recommend staying at Serenity Heights. It is well situated for exploring New Plymouth and the surrounding area.
