Winter Rate - new app tax rules have unfortunately increased the cost of staying at short-stay rentals by 15% from 1 April 2024. We have decided to absorb that hike for guests over Winter and have lowered our nightly rates for the months of May to August.
Architecturally designed one bedroom ground level apartment with large windows and oak flooring making it a very comfortable space for a weekend away or holiday. Located along New Plymouth's famous walk/cycleway that provides 10 km of coastal walking or cycling. Close to safe swimming beach, and popular place for surfing, kite surfing. Two minutes from the start of the beautiful Te Henui walkway, 10-minutes walk to the heart of the city.

This 1 Bedroom Apartment provides accommodation with Balcony/Terrace, Internet, Parking, for your convenience. Summary: We had a lovely stay at Whare Hita. It's close to Fitzroy beach and not far from the central city too. Comfortable and modern with everything you need (except a microwave), including a covered outdoor area with barbecue. Good communication with the host (Rachel), very friendly and responsive.

Summary: Most stylish place we have ever stayed, with top quality appliances, and facilities. Loved the fantastic wall heater which turned on automatically when temperatures dropped and gave a natural warm ambience. Loved the private tropical courtyard, and how we felt completely separate from owners next door. enjoyed the outdoor shower, and cooking in the well equipped kitchen. The hosts were very generous with what they provided in kitchen, and also left us plenty of towels including swimming towels. It was in a fantastic location close to city and board walk, but in a very quite street with easy parking in outside. They also had a sophisticated door lock that didn't need a key, which was convenient and easy to use. I am a fuzzy person, with high standards, but I couldn't fault this place, or the hosts who were helpful and prompt communicators.

Summary: I really loved staying here, warm, comfortable and just like on the pictures. Loved the roofline and the garden and courtyard were beautiful. Perfect placement to walk into town or along the coastal pathway. Easy to come and go.

Summary: Great location just a short stroll to the beach and coastal walkway (perfect for a run), and an easy walk into town. Convenient check-in process with coded lock. Place was immaculately clean, bed and furnishings were comfortable, bedding was lovely, the gardens delightful, and all the facilities were there. The only tiny drawback is that there is no facility for streaming media to the TV or DVD player, so bring your own device with HDMI output or watch TV/DVDs the old-school way. Highly recommended: coffee, scones and friendly chat at the Sunny caravan around the corner in the Freedom store carpark.
