Positive: Bed was extremely comfortable. We slept like babies. The room was spacious with the great view on the forest. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious.
Negative: For hotel team: As facility is not new, it is important to change small things to the newer one. It will give a better feeling of staying in this hotel. The cheapest plastic breakfast trays can be changed to the new and more beautiful one it will help to enjoy tasty breakfast even more. Super old body weight and old kids toys in the onsen area gives feeling that we are still in 1980. There are not expensive renovations, but will help with image of the hotel.

Positive: The staff were wonderful, great Onsen with sauna and massage chairs. The dinners were exceptional all being 10 course meal and breakfast had western and Japanese food options. Hotel room was very spacious with a view of the snow mountain, and it was very warm and cozy. We came to ski, the man who helped us at the bottom floor with our ski rental was lovely, we had a great time skiing at this ski in ski out hotel. The runs are mostly green/ red (which is considered blue), there are black runs but for us it was perfect to ski the green and red runs as a family, it’s a big mountain so lots of options. Staff had limited knowledge of English but we still made it work it’s pretty simple with google translation. Apre ski consists of complimentary tea and coffee and beer/sake for purchase at the small food shop inside the hotel, but it’s pretty limited. If you want wine or champagne you will need to bring with you otherwise there is wine/beer/sake option for dinner only for purchase.
Negative: Nothing, it was cozy and comfy. If you are into Apre drinks the selection is limited so just know that but we did not mind it.

Positive: Everything about the hotel and staff was great! They were very accommodating and the food was lovely. Perfect location for getting onto the mountain and can get all the way across to the other side just using the lifts. We also rented out snowboarding equipment from the hotel which was very easy and was already in our own locker ready to go on arrival.
Summary: Excellent hotel and staff! Will stay again!

Positive: The room was beautiful. Door-to-ski access was good, rental ski equiment quality was good. Staff was so helpful & nice. Food was great. Exceptionally nice bath area. This is one of a short list of places that I have marked to return to for sure when I return to Japan.
Negative: I didn't notice any shuttle service from the bus stop to the hotel, but it's possible I might have just missed it. Also it's only a few hundred meters.
