If you’re looking for the perfect Home Base for your next Chincoteague Island Adventure, look no further than ‘Shore Beats Work’ in Eastwinds. Located in the very heart of Chincoteague Island, this lovely Townhome is convenient to everywhere you want to be on our beautiful Island, yet a quiet and peaceful Retreat at the day's end.
Eastwinds is a small community of townhomes surrounded by Whispering Pine Trees just off of Church Street, which offers easy access to everything you love about our Island. Only minutes from the beach, downtown shops and restaurants, and more, it's Vacation Central, for sure! As you wander down the path to Shore Beats Work, you'll feel the serenity of the trees swaying in the salty air and that wonderful feeling of calmness that overtakes you when you realize you're finally HERE.
This lovely home is warm and well appointed. As you enter, you’ll be greeted by Beachy Floors reminiscent of a stroll on the Boardwalk, Colors of Sand and Sea, and a cozy Fireplace framed with Cedar - perfect for those chilly off-season stays - one of our favorite times at the Beach! You’ll love relaxing in the Living Area after a fun-filled day beach combing or searching for our famous Wild Ponies, and enjoying Free WiFi and Flat Screen Streaming TV. Or, if you’d rather take in that salty, sweet sea breeze, slip out to the Back Deck for a little break. The Fenced Yard is perfect for evenings spent with the kids chasing Lightning Bugs and listening to the Tree Frogs sing.
The Chef in your family will appreciate how well-stocked the Kitchen is with everything you need to make mealtime a bay breeze. There's plenty of room at the spacious Dining Table for everyone to relax and reconnect. Grab a quick bite at the Breakfast Bar before hitting the Beach, or enjoy some Fresh Local Seafood at the Dining Table. The Bistro Table on the back Deck is a wonderful place to sip your morning coffee. There's also a convenient Half Bath just off the Living Area.
Upstairs you'll find 2 spacious Bedrooms and 2 Full Baths! The Master has a comfy Queen Bed, and its own Private Covered Porch complete with chairs for relaxing. There is also a Private Full Bath with a Walk-in Shower. Right down the hall, Bedroom 2 is beachy with Nautical Navy Blues. Bedroom 2 sleeps 4 with Twin Bunkbeds, plus 2 Twin Beds. There is also another Full Bath with Tub/Shower Combo, so no waiting in line after a day of sun and fun!

Summary: My family of 4 stayed at this lovely townhouse in Eastwinds during what turned out to be a rainy and dreary week. We ended up spending a good amount of time at the house as a result, which we enjoyed. The kids loved having a chance to sleep on a bunkbed and the grown-ups enjoyed the master bedroom with the screened in porch. We loved the spacious living room and kitchen. The smart TV had all the streaming apps we love so it was easy to watch our shows. I appreciated that the house had very few delicate or breakable elements, and the few things that were delicate were easily moved and hidden. The bathroom tubs are pretty dated, probably the same tubs that the house was built with in the 80s. The washer and dryer is small so we had to do several more loads than we anticipated. The outside trash bin was hidden on the other side of the backyard fence so it was kind of hard to find, but the property manager helped us locate it. We were given the wrong door code prior to arrival but management was very responsive and reset the code for us. There was an envelope on the kitchen counter asking for tips but we weren't sure who the tips were for. It would help if the envelope mentioned this, like if it were a tip for the cleaning crew.

Summary: I came down with my mother-in-law to visit my daughter who is working at the wildlife refuge this summer. This was a nice quiet location. After busy days of exploring, shopping eating and beaching it was a short drive to this quiet, clean spot. Everything is as pictured and it worked out perfectly

Summary: Stepping into this place felt like a real beach getaway. Also really felt like you didn’t leave home with all the accommodations like washer and dryer, dish washer, with a very decent kitchen. The backyard is really nice for the kids and the balcony is amazing for the adults who want to relax outside without getting bit up by mosquitoes. Overall this place is great. One thing I will add is it is beside a graveyard which didn’t bother me but I know might bother some people.
