Highly recommend this hidden gem.

The grounds are meticulously cared for. The beach and pool and amenities are spectacular. The cottages are charming, however, ours was pretty gross and not clean, especially for the price we paid.Yes, the counters and stove were wiped down and the bathroom was clean, but the furniture was old, stained and smelly. The floors were filthy - our feet were black after walking on them and there were long black hairs all over the house and floor. The carpet under the dining room table didn’t seem to have been vacuumed. So, it was a bit disappointing to say the least. I would not stay in 8A again, and would hope some of the other cottages are cleaner.

Now our children bring their spouses and this year our first grandchild was introduced to this secluded lake Michigan paradise! The property is beautifully maintained and the cabins are cozy. You can spend a whole week here between the activities, pool, or beach; or venture in to town on bike, foot, or car for restaurants, shopping, and the farmers market. Lots of other adventures in the surrounding communities, are options if you need an escape.
