This home with waterfront is perfect for family reunions, extended families, or just large groups of friends! The east side location provides plenty of sunshine and awesome sunsets. There is a large two acre grassy lawn for kids to play and no neighbors on either side near the house. Since the yard is very spacious, you do have to walk approximately 100 yards (length of a football field) down the gently sloping property to the beach. The property gets more narrow towards the beach area where cottages get closer together. A stone driveway to drive to the water for people who can't walk this distance is located on the side of the property and cuts across the lawn near the waterfront. It is also used as a driveway/lane for cottages directly on the water. Kids can run and play, fly a kite, adults can have a volleyball game, play hoops, roast marsh-mellows, have a picnic, and take part in all kinds of water activities.
Inside, there is plenty of space to hang out together in the living room or family room. The dining room table seats 10 and table in the adjacent kitchen seats 6. Just outside the dining room is the deck which can seat 5 more or so. Many folks enjoy the piano room where they have singalongs with the family. There are also lots of nooks and crannies in the home where you could enjoy some quiet time away from the group. Of course, you could also do a little sunning at the beach while listening to the lapping waves, hang out on the new spacious deck there or relax in the lawn under one of the large shade trees.
The beach is all small flat rocks(shale) and has a deck and 45 foot dock. There are some stairs (approx. 20) from the lawn to the beach area. The new deck is about 1/3 the way down from the lawn. The water is very clean and there are no weeds in this area. It's crystal clear and you can easily see the bottom. It's a nice gradual walk out into the water and is about three feet deep at the end of the dock, which is great for kids- no drop offs. There are two kayaks with life-jackets for your use. For extremely large groups, we also own another home a short walk away with three bedrooms and sleeps 10 that you can inquire about. Auburn is only a quick drive (a few miles)away, so it is very convenient for shopping, restaurants, parks,etc. There are many things to do in the area depending on your interests.

Summary: We all had a wonderful stay at the home across a long weekend. The host was very responsive and helpful with any questions. The kitchen has plenty of space for many people to cook. Living room comfortably fit 12-18 people and the temperature was comfortable.Only thing to note was the piano was fairly out of tune and the trundle pull out was a bit dirty but otherwise everything was clean.

Summary: House needs power wash. Trim work outside needs painting. Bathroom has no grab bars in tub area. Floor of tub very slippery. Beds were comfortable. Need toaster oven.

Summary: 1. The property is dishonestly labeled as a 6 bedroom house. We had 6 families with 12 adults and 8 kids. It's not an actual 6 bedroom house where 6 families can live in one bedroom each. 2 bedrooms in the basement were in very very poor condition. One of them is not a bedroom at all, it could barely be labeled as a den. It was extremely difficult for us to manage everyone properly. 2. Top floor bathroom door had no lock. We had put a basket in front of it to notify others outside that it's occupied. 3. The entire basement floor is very dark and cold it doesn’t have any insulation or following fire rules for the safety. 4. The folding beds were of no use as well. Most of the side springs were missing and all the mattresses were not good for use. Not recommended, wasn't a fun trip. We go to cottages all the time, this was not up to the mark.

Summary: Wonderful accommodations for our group of 8 adults. The house can handle many more and the lower level would be a perfect hangout for kids or teens. The place is very nicely furnished and decorated. We found a spacious kitchen, nice dining room table, and a very comfortable living room to relax in. The weather wasn't cooperative so we did not take advantage of the dock/boats, but we did get to sit by the water and relax between rain showers. Summary: Our family had an incredible time at this house. It was perfect for all ages. The kids had an amazing time swimming. It was perfect for small children up through adults. The owner was so kind and quick to act when the new dishwasher had a leak. She sent a plumber and it was fixed within a few hours. We had a great time hiking nearby and loved the town of Auburn.

Summary: We had a nice stay, I should have read it better I thought we were lake front so was a little inconvenient to walk down there and also not convenient to hang out at the lake, but we made it work. Also the 2 kayaks were gross all ripped up and not usable we only brought 1 thinking we would have 3 and so we only had the 1 we brought, so was also disappointed with that.We did have an ant problem in the kitchen, that should be taken care of . The house it self was ok it definitely needs some updating and work in and out. The bbq was not as clean as the owner wanted us to leave it, but we did. Overall it served its purpose and we had a nice time. The Lake is Beautiful. We rented a boat and that’s the time we spent on the lake. The property is big and is nice to hang out in the yard. Over all we had a nice time
