3 Bedroom House in McArthur

This is our "home away from home" and is a No-Smoking/No-Vaping/No Pets vacation spot. It is a great "getaway" retreat on 3 acres, nestled away from the main road down a country lane. Plenty of parking space is provided. It is a single story home with a few steps leading into the house. Beautiful views of the countryside can be seen from every room in the house and from the back deck. If you are looking for comfort and charm in a peaceful, serene setting, you'll find it in this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a large Great Room that includes 2 hide-a-beds. The house sleeps up to 10 guests, which includes one Cal King bed, one Queen bed, two twin beds, and two hide-a-beds. Internet access is available throughout the home via a WiFi network. A full kitchen is complete with dishwasher, large refrigerator, standard oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, and everything you need (cookware, dishes, silverware, and a supply of coffee, tea, flour, sugar, seasonings, etc.). There is an indoor grill in the kitchen. Although we do not have TV service, a large selection of videos are available for all ages to view on the large HDTVs (in the living room and master bedroom), 2 Smart TVs that include a few select TV channels and the best streaming options (in Cal-King bedroom and Great Room), plus an older TV in the twin bedroom (with a VCR and fun old VHS tapes in dresser below). Every TV has a DVD player near it. We have a variety of games and beautiful baby grand piano in the Great Room. A telescope is in entryway near front door to view the magnificent stars in this part of the country. A washer and dryer are available for your use inside the laundry room. An A/C unit is in the front living room. Firewood is provided for the wood burning stove in the living room. A patio table with 6 chairs plus a 2-seated glider and extra chairs are located on the back deck overlooking the expansive countryside and breathtaking river view. Restaurants/eateries are within a 5-10 minute drive from the house, while a large grocery store is 10 minutes away. The house is close to an 18-hole golf course in Fall River Mills and plenty of fishing nearby. Mt. Shasta is a 60 minute drive away for winter skiing and snowboarding. This is strictly a non-smoking rental both inside and outside (no exceptions!) and is the perfect vacation home any time of the year. Please note: Several days are blocked before and after each rental to allow ample time to clean and follow all safety protocols.

Summary: Way out away from city lights with a nice lawn to lay out on, not to mention comfy beds to sleep in and well-equipped kitchen, etc. I only wish we had a piano player to play the baby grand in the Great Room. Pleasant deck with a bucolic view for enjoying wine time.

Summary: Situated in a quiet location with beautiful views over Pit River, the house comfortable catered for 10 of us. The owner, Jayne, couldn't do enough for us and it was appreciated receiving an e-mail from her after a few days to check if everything was satisfactory, which it more than was! Kelly, a neighbour and property manager, who lived next door kept an eye out but a very discreet 'distance' but comforting to know that if we weren't sure of anything she was available. All in all we loved our visit and the accommodation, which has special emotional ties to the owner given the family history. Loved it.

Summary: We enjoyed a wonderful 4 day family gathering. The place was warm, homey, and very comfortable. Beautiful setting. Amazing views off the deck. Woke up to 7 deer outside the kitchen window each morning. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well stocked and set up nicely. Took some nice day trips hiking around Lassen and to Burney Falls - definitely a must! We would absolutely visit this place again. Lovely host.

Summary: We really enjoyed Crabill Cottage as a home away from home. The experience was similar to visiting friends or family with everything we needed to cook, keep entertained and be comfortable. Summary: We've now stayed in 6 or 7 vacation rentals now, and this was by far the best organized and best stocked house we've ever stayed in. Everything from laundry supplies to extra toothpaste and Toilet paper. The owner thought of everything we might possibly need. The kitchen is super organized, with everything you might need, even if you want to bake. This house is so comfortable and lovingly decorated , it made our stay so easy and enjoyable. We will definitely stay here every time we come to visit my daughter.

Summary: Our home-away-from-home was exactly that - all we needed was to bring was our food and clothes! We felt like we were staying in our favorite Aunt's home. Every single room in this large, comfortable home had anything we could have possibly needed, and then some! The kitchen and pantry are well stocked with literally everything you need to make and serve your meals; the bathrooms have all the toiletries you could possibly need, and THE MOST LUXURIOUS TOWELS ever! Fun and whimsically decorated bedrooms, very comfortable beds. 5 awesome TVs with tons of DVDs and game stations. The view from the cozy patio is peaceful and beautiful. While located in the countryside, it's very close to surrounding towns. The property managers couldn't be more friendly and helpful. This was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years!
