4 Bedroom House in Confluence

The historic Stonehouse at the Confluence was built in 1920 and completely remodeled in 2017. It sits on the banks of the Casselman River where it meets the Youghiogheny and Laurel Hill Creek. It is situated on a half acre corner lot in the area's most desired location.
The house sleeps up to 10 with 4 upstairs bedrooms and a sleeper couch for non stair climbing guests in the living room. There are two full bathrooms upstairs and one full on the main floor.
The home is charming and spacious with beautiful, newly refinished hardwood floors throughout. While everything is new and modern, the charms of a home built almost 100 years ago are present. With a brand new, well equipped kitchen open to a magnificent dining room, it's the perfect home for families or groups of friend to gather.
It has a large porch ideal for relaxing and a backyard with hot tub on the riverside and a large level yard perfect for tossing a football or playing cornhole. The home is walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the GAP bike trail. Take your pick of the 3 rivers for fishing or just relax on the porch listening to the rivers and birds. Trains run on the railroad tracks across the river.
Completely newly renovated–everything is brand new. Amenities include: hot tub, gas log fireplace, TV/DVD player, washer/dryer, high speed & wireless Internet, Comcast cable, gas grill, air conditioning and outdoor fire pit. All linens and towels are provided. Confluence has both a Verizon and AT&T cell tower and both work well from the house. Our home is kid friendly, with highchair and crib.
With 4 distinct seasons, the house is available year round.
Please note that there is a security camera/motion detection light mounted on the porch, facing the driveway, that we use to monitor when the space is vacant.

Summary: Plenty of room in this renovated historic house. We really enjoyed having enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone in our party. We also enjoyed the outdoor amenities - the front porch, fire pit area, and fishing in the river. This was a great location for a "home base" for our bike trip.

Summary: We gather with friends once a year at this house and we love it. The house is wonderful with so many areas to gather and connect. It also has plenty of privacy and places to be alone for a bit. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and eating together. The location is fantastic- right by the river. The house is well-equipped and always very clean. There are a lot of interesting features to the house also.

Summary: The house was very nice and quaint, beautiful location. The only two complaints I have are that the dining table was dirty, it has grooves that are filled with crumbs and who knows what, and the bbq grill was a disaster. Falling apart inside and just bad. Overall the stay and the place are tea nice, and the host was very nice and helpful.

Summary: This stay was perfect for our needs. The gas fireplace and cozy couch allowed us to really relax and spend meaningful time together. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a bigger group (dishwasher a huge plus!) We had a lovely time in this beautiful old house :)

Summary: My husband and I stayed here with four adult children and this house was perfect! Everyone had room to spread out, if needed. And the family areas perfectly accommodated our needs for cooking, dining, playing games, and just hanging out in front of the fireplace! Property was clean, had all the necessary kitchen items, plenty of linens and towels, and a great atmosphere. Plus, the view off the back of the house is beautiful. It was about a 40 minute drive to Seven Springs (with snowy roads). You can walk into town really easy. Just a great place to stay! Highly recommend!

Summary: The house was clean and quite comfortable, well appointed, and we enjoyed the firepit and hot tub each evening. Neighbors are close by but they were very nice and shared their firewood with us. It's a small rural area, with several Frank Lloyd Wright houses nearby that we visited. Kara was very helpful and responsive to any questions. Altogether a lovely relaxing visit!

Summary: After a long day on the GAP we loved the peacefulness of the Stonehouse! This updated, gracious 100 year old house, in an old, quiet neighborhood was thoroughly enjoyed by our group of 4 women! Each of us had our own room and there were 3 bathrooms. As soon as we arrived in the late afternoon, we relaxed in the hot tub overlooking the river. What a luxury It was to spread out in the house. Wish we had planned ahead and brought food to cook for dinner. The kitchen has every convenience to cook a big meal. There wasn't a restaurant in town for dinner so be prepared for this. The beds and bedding are high quality and very comfortable! The train runs along the tracks across the river, but the stone walls are so thick we didn't hear any noise and slept soundly during the night.
