Agriturismo San Tommaso is located on a hill with a splendid view over the valley 2km from the small town of Pomarance near Volterra. The property has a sunny position from morning to evening and is located 30 km from the sea and in a central position with respect to the most important art cities such as Pisa, Siena, Florence and Lucca. In about 30 minutes you can reach Volterra, Massa Marittima, San Gimignano, the cellars of the most important wines of Tuscany and many other small medieval villages. Ideal for lovers of trekking, mountain biking and horse riding in the nearby convensioned riding school. At 3km the sources of the Cecina river with wonderful pools of water for swimming. On the property there are 2 houses with 3 apartments each. All apartments are very independent with their own private outdoor area with barbecue and parking space. The surrounding garden is very large and even children can run and play in the play area. There are large terraces equipped with a wonderful view over the valley and a fenced m16x m8 swimming pool with Jacuzzi and waterfall, surrounded by a large green lawn where each apartment has its own private shaded area with deck chairs and sun loungers. Breakfasts, tastings and dinners with local products are available on request.

Summary: We were here for the second time. Great place, nice appartment and a very friendly owner who also bakes the best pizzas. The appartments are clean and everything you need is available. The area is beautiful and there are so many nice places and villages ! In short, all the ingredients present for a great holiday. We will definitely be back!

Summary: We had a very pleasant and uncomplicated time at Sergio Tacciati´s lovely house in the middle of Toscany´s unspoiled countryside. Day trip destinations like the beach at San Vincenzo, San Gimignano, Volterra, Montereggione, Siena are all to be reached within an hour´s drive. But there are pretty and also quiet places nearby, too. Hiking along and swimming in the Cecina river at Masso delle Fianculle is only one that´s worth mentioning. Sergio is there whenever you need him with his helpful and friendly way, but he knows how to humbly withdraw and stay in the background at the same time. The apartments by the way are all very individual, purposeful and good value. Thanks for a lovely week.

Summary: We as a family of 5 have stayed here over four times in the last few years. It is a wonderful peaceful beautiful place to stay ...WHY well First & Foremost Sergio the owner is incredibly friendly & helpful (my children love him!) he is a local man that can give real insight to the area too. He is always contactable with any issues & on site most of the time seeing that everything is how it should be! we will keep coming back!

Summary: We spent one week in late september at Sergio´s place San Tommaso. We rented il Lecio and il Pino for six persons and had enough room for everyone. Our home was cosy and our Sergio was nice and helpfull host with our problems. We made day trips to Pisa, Florence, Volterra, Siena, San Gimingsano, wine yard at Ghianti area. Views were beautiful in those areas. Weather was sunny and warm and we had couple afternoons on swimming pool waiting for sunset with wine and beer and coffee. And once Sergio organiced evening party at grillplace with pizzas, pazza with ragu and local wine. Everything tasted marvellous. In that evening we had opportunity to meet other visitors and Sergios quests too. Everything went fine including coming and leaving the place. At the end: Everything was worth of money. Thank you Sergio !!!

Summary: This place is perfect! And the owner! we stayed in a villa Sergio in August. All I saw on the photo site when reserved apartment, actually even better! All these beautiful pastoral Tuscany .... view from the balcony! The villa is very comfortable for families with children: a swimming pool with Jacuzzi, children's playground. We traveled with 4 children and Sergio really care for them, which was very nice and cool! Apartments are very cozy and fully met our expectations. All you need for a comfortable stay. At the villa you can test the local olive oil, vine, vegetables, eggs and other products. Everything is very fresh and tasty. The villa is conveniently located in the region. Many interesting places around: Volterra, Siena, SanGimignano, Tirren Sea, Pisa, etc. Overall, everything was great!! And I am very glad to met with such hospitable host, Sergio! My next visit to Tuscany I will stay at Sergio's friendly home, no doubt!! Thank you!

Summary: My boyfriend and I wanted to spend a romantic mini break in Tuscany, Italy. Since he has travelled a lot lately, he decided to use his frequent flier miles to book the entire trip. That is where he found "Agriturismo San Tommaso" and some other interesting offers. I immediately chose San Tommaso, L'Olivio, after having seen the wonderful pictures which - honestly - almost failed to depict the beautiful landscape and the lovely apartment. Everything in the apartment was very neat and clean, and decorated in a rustic way with a lot of attention to detail. We had a double and a simple bed in the bedroom (which by the way offered a wonderful view of the lovely landscape outside) and an extensible sofa in the kitchen/living-room so that the whole apartment would have offered room for 5 people. The bathroom was relatively big and also very clean, as was the kitchen (which I loved the most) with a fridge, an oven and a gas stove. We also had free (even though somewhat slow) wi-fi internet. The house has a large garden area surrounding it, with enough parking space in the front (you should definitely rent a car in order to comfortably visit the cities around) and swings for the kids in the back, a terrace with sun loungers and a pool a few meters further downhill (which was not heated so we couldn't swim since the water was too cold in April). The next city is Pomarance, about 5 minutes away by car, where we went shopping for groceries. Other neat places around where Volterra and San Gimignano, but Pisa, Livorno and Lucca (the most romantic city in Tuscany) can be easily visited in a day trip. Just don't be surprised by the outrageous gas prices. Sergio, the owner of the house, is a very friendly and warm person, too. He was around most of the time and would always give us good advice for our day trips and even when I broke a glass when washing the dishes he said it was no problem. A good advice however is to be able to speak bits of Italian or French since most people we met were not quite as good in English. To put it in a nutshell, our stay at Agriturismo San Tommaso was wonderful and we recommend it to everyone who wants to experience the real Tuscan feeling!
