Positive: First of all, the location is unbeatable. The little house is right by the water, and the ferry can drop you off directly at the front gate. When I left, the host, Ranti, was so thoughtful and helped wave down the boat for me. You can fall asleep to the soothing sound of the waves. Secondly, the garden is absolutely stunning with so many lovely trees and flowers. Sumatra is truly a place blessed with incredibly rich natural resources. In the morning, I just sat in the yard watching a flock of hummingbirds hopping around the flowers. The property is surrounded by avocado trees, candle nut trees, mango trees, moringa, heliconia, and more. It feels like the perfect place for retirement. Lastly, the room itself was exceptionally clean.

Negative: However, there are a few things to keep in mind. Mornings can be a bit noisy—aside from being woken up naturally by the sunshine and roosters, you’ll also hear the engines of boats from people doing water sports. Additionally, since the windows aren't completely sealed, the indoor lighting is kept quite dim to prevent too many bugs from flying in at night. As someone who grew up in the city and usually stays in business hotels, it did take me a little time to adapt to the quiet, dim nights of this small town

Positive: The house is very clean, well equipped, and well maintained. The garden is beautiful and offers an amazing view of the lake. The host, Ranti, is lovely, very helpful, and always responsive.

Negative: There are continuous water sports activities directly in front of the house, with jet skis and boats operating from 7am to 6pm. The constant noise made it difficult to enjoy the house, the garden, and the view. We had chosen this location for peace and relaxation, which was unfortunately not possible. Without this issue, we would have rated this property a 10.

Positive: Amazing location! Right by the lake, you can just walk down and take a swim. Even at night it's really beautiful. There are many restaurants within walking distance as well. The house itself was comfortable. The host Ranti was great as well! She's really funny and helpful. She helped us to book motorbikes and a day tour, both which turned out amazing. It's really convenient to get a ferry back to mainland as well. The ferry can stop right at the house to drop you off/pick you up.

Positive: The location is next to the lake; the scenery is so beautiful, and everything is like shown in the pictures! I personally really glad to wake up next to the window that directly show the lake. Rooms are very clean, there are two rooms in the house, full with kitchen utensils too. Ibu Ranti is very informative and kind! Thanks Ibu and Summa Terra for an enjoyable stay!
