Summary: This property is a gem! Beautiful grounds, incredible ocean views, plenty of livable space and privacy. The property managers, Mauricio and Bernal, we amazing resources and we really enjoyed their company.

Summary: I have mixed feelings about this place. The beach is nice and shallow with rolling waves for swimming in. House is fairly nice but needs much maintenance, repairs and updates. It was a spacious house and worked well for the 3 couples on our trip. The water in the house is very unpredictable-sometimes no hot water, sometimes just a scant trickle and sometimes no water at all! The "gardeners" are on site most everyday but seem to do little other than throw out an occasional spinkler and sit around the yard all day, its very strange. The surrounding neighborhood is very poor and dirty with razor wire everywhere. I did not really feel unsafe or witness any crime but must be sketchy with every location surrounded by razor wire. Had to buy our own washclothes and hand towels for bath and kitchen as there were none. Very few bath towels. There is a busy road behind the house with trucks using Jake-brakes all night long and loud motocycles. Main level is not air conditioned but bedrooms have air and were nice and cool. Construction was going on next door as well. The "go-to-guy" Mauricio, was very attentitive if we needed anything and a good resource for restaraunts and activities in the area. Enjoyed our stay and it was reasonably priced, but not likely i would rent this house again.

Summary: We love coming to Costa Rica and this was probably the best visit. The house was absolutely perfect! It was close to so many attractions and the surf was spot on for what we wanted. Probably the best part of the house was the property manager, Mauricio. I have rented many homes over the years and he was by far the best property manager of any. He was always available if needed and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We have definitely made a lifelong friend. When we return to Costa Rica, we will most likely rent this house again because of him. Boca Barranca is a great area and the property was perfect for the six of us. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to travel to Costa Rica! Pura Vida Todd

Summary: Great setting, views, location, access to everything. Mauricio (facilities, grounds/ property manager) was awesome. House, huge, clean, comfortable beds AC kept rooms perfectly cool. Great security, property gates, house security. Surf; world class. On a 3-5 ft day this place will test your paddling power. 200 meter lefts will exhaust you. Some crowds, wait your turn. Other places visited; Arenal, Monteverde, Jaco. Book today, it’s the best option in the area. You won’t be disappointed. We were there 10 days & hated to leave, will definitely be back.

Summary: The house was huge and the property was right on the beach! Mauricio was very helpful for anything we needed. There was also dogs and a cat on the property (outside) which we loved too. The property was well secured and the house also has an alarm system but didn’t have to worry about it at all. Overall was an amazing experience and can’t wait to come back!

Summary: We spent 2 months at Boca Barranca and it was a dream. Prime location for surfing. Not much tourism around the area. Theres a couple of restaurants 5-10 minutes away but there's not much nightlife. Overall a great place to visit.

Summary: Beautiful home with lots of room for the 4 couples. The deck facing the ocean is a great place to hang out and enjoy happy hour. Walking out to the beach was easy and very enjoyable. Lots of good wave’s coming in although we are not surfers but it looks like a destination for doing that! Definitely recommend this property.

Summary: We are an older couple and my wife is a nurse and I'm retired and still love to surf at age 73. We invited a group of young surfing nurses to join us and we totaled 8 people. The house was accommodating with beds for everyone and everything we needed. The property is large, private. secure and right in front of the surf break. The guard Edwardo and his brother were always watching out and were helpful if we needed anything. The surf was first class and the longest waves I've ever ridden, better than i imagined. We loved the two property dogs. They were so cute and loving and added another layer of security. We took particular notice of the tropical paintings throughout the house. Beautiful touch. There are numerous restaurants nearby and supermarkets also. We had a great week here and would come back.
