A charming bungalow oozing with warm timber features and cottage charm. Easy open plan kitchen dining that opens onto the large deck for indoor outdoor entertaining when spending time with your favorite people perfect to keep an eye on the children in the fenced garden.
This Bungalow on Hori Street is a special place, so close to the park and Hori Street shops with supermarket and cafe an easy stroll.
Off street parking, follow the drive to reveal the cottage garden and expansive deck with plenty of safe space for the children to play. Inside the warm timber features mixed with character and romantic quirkiness greet you, where you will instantly begin to unwind and relax. Comfortable functional layout, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, espresso machine and WIFI ensures you holiday experience is a quality one. Bi-Fold doors that open to maximise the indoor-outdoor flow into the garden. There is a fully equipped laundry with Washing Machine and Dryer. Your home away from home in Taranaki.
Large comfortable bedrooms to cater for your family, with quality bed linen and comfortable beds for a great night sleep. The stylish large bathroom where you can relax in a deep bath with a glass of Merlot. Enjoy your morning coffee and plan your next adventure sitting around the large outdoor table. The perfect space to unwind together.
Situated only a fifteen-short walk to the Bowl of Brooklands and Pukekura Park where you can enjoy the gardens and in summer the festival of lights and concerts. A one-minute stroll to the Vogeltown Countdown supermarket where you can pick up some supplies and enjoy brunch at The Kitchen Table Cafe.
Please note the cleaning fee: Includes all hotel quality linen and towels, a part cleaning service (we ask guests to strip sheets/pillowcases off beds and leave with towels etc in bathroom or laundry, clear away dishes/turn dishwasher on and leave property tidy.
We will do the rest of the cleaning) and basic supplies.
All Bach Break properties come well equipped with cooking oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, milk, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, liquid hand soap and body wash.

The property is very well equipped with most things you will need on holiday. If you use a hair dryer, we ask that you bring one with you as hair dryers aren't supplied.

Summary: Nice and well presented, some odd features such as the lack of adequate light in the middle sitting room and no plug that fit the bath properly. We also had no idea it was on such a busy road. Main bedroom was very affected by traffic noise. Pluses outweighed minuses but it might be worth mentioning it's not a hideaway.

Reviewer Comments: We wanted to stay in a comfortable and spacious stand-alone place in a quiet part of New Plymouth close to the beach or Pukekura Park. This was almost all of those things, but it was not as quiet as expected as Hori Street had a lot of traffic at peak times. Good things were the outdoor area (ith graden and seating), a well equipped kitchen, plenty of hot water (and good pressure), great wifi/internet (unlimited and very fast), walking distance from a supermarket and Pukekura Park, and close proximity to the city centre and Highway 3. Not so good were the ambiguity of instructions (about cleaning and rubish, for example), the lack of small tables to put tea/coffee on, significant amounts of wear and tear, and the traffic noise on Hori St.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Due to needing accomodation at the peak time we paid a very high rate and don't feel we got top quality for our money. The lawns hadn't been mown so our two grandchildren couldn't play on it due t bees and wasps. There weren't enough dining chairs for us all to sit at the table. the outdoor furniture was old and wobbly. The lounge couch was not very comfortable and was cramped when we all (4 adults, 2 preschoolers) wanted to be in it together.No milk provided for a first cup of tea and only a few tea-bags left. It didn't meet our expectations, sadly disappointed.

Summary: A good place to stay in New Plymouth as it is convenient to a number of things. If you are staying for a wedding or something similar I'd give it a miss though as the place doesn't have an ironing board.

Summary: Overall our stay was great. The house was adequately equipped although we couldn't find an ironing board. Some minor repairs required to some things. The shower pressure is awesome 👌 btw. The house was not ready for us when we arrived which was disappointing as after travelling we wanted to have a rest. We had to ring the owners to get them to organize a cleaner to come in while we went into town for an hour or so. It was absolutely fine once we were able to get in. The flannelette sheets were a bit hot for this time of the year though. Overall a great stay in NP and the house and property are lovely.
