We are glad to announce the opening of our new place called the Cove., Located or the Chesapeake Bay water shed just minutes from Elkton and Chesapeake City Md.
This family retreat has three bedrooms and two baths and will comfortably sleep eight. The kitchen has all new appliances with granite counter tops with spectacular views of the water.
All new windows will enhance your water views from the bedrooms or more important from the sun room off the front of the house.
For outdoor lovers there will be plenty to do. Grill on the large deck overlooking the water, or play bad mitten, volleyball, and corn hole with the kids. Stroll out onto our 120 foot dock and watch your family launch the kayaks or the canoe from the floating dock. at the end of the pier.
In the evening while everyone is tired from a long day on the water enjoy wine and cheese by the fire pit under the spreading maple tree.
In the evenings you can watch the sunset directly across the river, watch TV, or just play games in the living room.
For the equestrian set we are just 12 miles from the new five star event course at Fair Hill, Maryland.

Summary: This is a lovely home in the most beautiful setting. The home is very cozy, warm and inviting. The bed in the master bedroom is extremely comfortable. And, oh, that view! You could sit there all day and look at the beautiful water view. And there are some nice restaurants in nearby Chesapeake City. The owner was very warm and inviting. A great place to stay!

Summary: We were looking for a place not too far from Baltimore where the family could gather for Christmas. We wanted a picturesque view of water and a place where we could bring our dog. This charming house was all that and more. It has a cozy feel from the moment you enter. The interesting antique furniture pieces and art prints make it feel like you are visiting a family member‘s home. The owners quickly responded to a special accommodation we needed and even had the place decorated for Christmas.

Summary: We absolutely loved this cottage. Much bigger than the pictures led on. Perfect spot on the water. The weather ended up being beautiful for this time of year. We got to enjoy the dock and caught LOTS of fish. Channel catfish, flathead catfish, perch.. the bites were never ending and we fished right from the dock. I love the location also… everything is very close. Chesapeake Inn did not disappoint for dinner. It was delicious!! Spork Cafe for breakfast.. best breakfast I’ve ever had. Sarge’s Bait and Tackle had everything we needed. Great guy! This cottage is truly a perfect getaway for a couple or family. Love this place. Definitely will be returning.

Summary: Enjoyed The Cove very much. Property has a nice long dock, deck, outdoor fire pit, enclosed porch, comfortable livingroom, kitchen, dining area, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms. We were there in September and it was quiet. Kayaks were available and easy to use from the beach/seawall area. Owner was helpful, and welcoming.

Summary: The Cove is one of the best places we have ever stayed! There was so much room, and they had anything and everything we could possibly need. The deck overlooking the water? I could live out there! When the wind got a little chilly, we moved into the sunroom which was warm and inviting with an amazing view. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We are already planning our next trip! Wonderful place with friendly and gracious host!

Summary: What a simply wonderful house to spend a family weekend visiting my daughter in college. Only 25 minutes from her school the drive was simple. The home was comfortable and fit our family perfectly. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and responsive. I will definitely return.

Summary: My friend and I had a girls trip for a few days. We very much enjoyed our stay at this home. The view from both inside the house as well as outside was beautiful. We had amazing weather and gorgeous sunsets. We were there during the week so the river seemed very quiet for our time. Not many boaters were our sailing. The house was clean and comfortable. There was a slight mix up on the lock number to be used to get into the house but a quick call to the owner got that cleared up quickly. We found a welcome note and wine as a welcome which was very thoughtful and appreciated from the property manager. The tv was very impressive as we watched some US Open while we were there. The surrounding area is lovely and we enjoyed a trip into Chesapeake City. I would not hesitate to stay in this home again. Thank you for allowing us to stay!
