Negative: Extremely cold, draughty room even with heating full on. Bedding below standard, too short, duvet very thin. Pillow inadequate. Table shabby and only one chair for 2 people.

Positive: The bed was comfortable, the room lighting was good, the complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits were a nice touch. The location was 10 minutes from the railway station.

Negative: Room 218 was tired and had seen better days. There were two wooden screens acting as curtains. They are designed to slide and therefore shut out light. The right hand one was jammed and could not be shut. The only heating appeared to be a plug in electric heater.

Summary: Adequate for a one night stay.
