The Grandest of views from this second floor, beach front, corner unit with views of the ocean and Grandview pool. Unit was recently renovated with new furniture throughout. The complex is walking distance to great restaurants and bars. Kitchen has everything you need to cook or use one of the two on-site BBQ grills. Cooler is in the unit to bring food and drinks to the beach. Family friendly unit and complex.
While certain properties on Seven Mile Beach have experienced beach erosion over the last couple of years, our property's beach is protected by ironshore which limits erosion. We have not experienced the erosion that other properties have and have a great sandy beach with plenty of beach chairs and natural shade from trees for your enjoyment. Easy access to swim or play in the the ocean from the sandy cove on the right side (looking towards the ocean) of the complex. The complex has 69 units for which around 20 of the units are used for vacation rentals and the rest are used by owners or long-term renters for people who live in Cayman year-round. As such, guests typically have no issues accessing chairs/loungers on the beach or pool deck as the majority of units are used by people that live in the complex and therefore do not use the pool and beach as often as visitors on vacation would. There should not be a need to claim your beach chair for the day as you may feel you need to at other resorts.
As parents to a young toddler we know the struggles in finding appropriate sleeping arrangements for very young children. With this in mind we have 3 options available for young children to sleep in:

When booking please let us know which of these options you would like available and we will ensure they are in the unit for your arrival. We also have 2 highchairs available.
Currently only accepting bookings with check-in and check-out on Saturdays. If you are looking to book where either your check-in or check-out date would not be on a Saturday, please send me a booking request for your dates and we can see what can be done to accommodate your request. Depending upon the number of nights requested we may be able to accommodate with a higher average rate per night of your stay compared to the current advertised rates. We may have more flexibility for these requests depending on the time of year and requested length of stay (e.g. outside of peak season and for 11 days or more).
Bathroom and beach towels are included with the rental. The unit includes a washer and dryer with laundry detergent to be used for laundry during the stay.
There is no house keeping services included in the rental as the unit will be cleaned before and after each guest visit. The unit is on the second floor and there are no elevators at the Grandview.
Hurricane Cancellation Policy
Pre-Arrival: If a hurricane watch or warning is issued by the Cayman Islands Government within five days of your scheduled arrival, you may cancel your stay without any penalty fees.
During Stay: If a hurricane warning leads to a mandatory evacuation during your stay, I will refund the unused portion of your planned vacation affected by the hurricane warning.

Summary: The property is very nice and relaxing. It has great views, nice beach, pool, and facilities. The unit itself has everything you could need in the kitchen, supplies, lots of towels, and extras like sand toys, tennis and pickleball equipment, and snorkeling equipment. Rod was easy to coordinate with, friendly, and accessible. I would be recommend this place to a friend or family member, which is a lot coming from me!

Summary: My husband, daughter and I traveled to Grand Cayman for her senior spring break during the week of March 15, 2025. We had a wonderful week, and absolutely loved our stay at The Grandview. This was by far one of the best VRBO experiences we've ever had. Rod's place is absolutely lovely. It is located right on the water, has a lovely beach, great pool (and hot tub), and is in an area of Georgetown close to restaurants as well as the downtown area. It is beautifully updated, warmly decorated and spacious. We loved our week there. The condo complex itself has everything you need -- numerous lounge chairs for the beach and the pool. It also has a tennis court, pickleball court, and grills available. In addition, Rod has all kinds of personal touches that make it so easy for the traveler. From an arrival bottle of wine, snacks, great beach towels, tennis racquets and pickleball paddles, we had everything we needed for the week. Rod also had laundry detergent and extra sunscreen available. It made our trip so easy. Rod was incredibly responsive as we booked our trip, during the days before we arrived, and met us as we arrived to give us a tour of the condo. He provided great recommendations for restaurants and helped us navigate the beach. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this unit to anyone visiting the Cayman Islands.

The beach and pool were wonderful - while the beach directly out front is "iron shore", it makes for great snorkeling. 100 yards down the beach is a cove that has great sand and makes for perfect snorkeling and calm water -

Summary: We had a fantastic stay at this condo at Grandview! It was impeccably clean, thoughtfully appointed, and had everything we needed—and more—for a perfect trip to Grand Cayman. The location was ideal, making it easy to walk to restaurants, downtown, and multiple beaches when we didn’t feel like driving. The property is beautiful, with a lovely beach for lounging and a swimming beach right next door, a great pool, and even a pickleball court, which we enjoyed in the evenings.Traveling with our two teenage sons (both 17), we found the condo offered just the right amount of space for everyone to be comfortable and truly relax.Rod, the host, was wonderful—friendly, responsive, and full of great recommendations for dining and activities. It’s clear that he and his family take great care of the condo and genuinely want their guests to have an amazing experience. We’re grateful for the hospitality and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Summary: This place lives up to the description and the reviews. The condo is second floor and looks directly onto a sandy beach. It is clean and well stocked. Rod met us at check-in and was responsive to questions throughout the week. It is an excellent location with bars restaurants nearby and grocery store moderate walk away (12-15 mins). There is a reef about 100 feet out from the lagoon (right as you look out from the condo) that is excellent for snorkeling. Really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Rod greeted us and showed us his 2nd floor condo on a beautiful quiet sandy beach. View from the balcony was spectacular with the tree with a swing and beautiful sunsets as the backdrop. Perfect location close to amenities. Condo was well stocked and comfortable. Rod welcomed us with a bottle of wine and snacks and was attentive to all our needs. One of the best places we have stayed. Driving on the left hand side in busy traffic and confusing round abouts can be a little scary. GPS helped a lot exploring the island.
