The house covers over 7,000 sq ft of both indoor and outdoor living space. The immense and well kept garden, which runs all the way down to the sea, flourishes with an array of tropical plants and palm trees. Shady pergolas on both the east and west sides of the villa provide the perfect spot for some afternoon reading away from the intense sun. Sunrise and Sunset views are a bonus of this east/west facing home.
As you enter this home you will be taken aback by the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, the glassy bay, the nearby uninhabited smaller islands, reefs and the unspoilt greenery in the distance. Designed to harmonise with the environment, the villa allows you to become one with nature as a large veranda that extends the length of the house connects all the rooms and offers the experience of indoor/outdoor living every step of the way. On the extended veranda is a court yard style garden, separate seating areas and the infinity edged pool.
Bedrooms 1 & 2: All bedrooms are en-suite and have ceiling fans, although the area enjoys constant breeze. The first and second bedrooms are on the right of the main entrance to the villa. Bedroom 1 is furnished with a four poster queen size bed, night stands with lamps and a spacious walk-in closet. The bathroom is furnished with top quality bathroom fittings and an open air shower. The second en-suite bedroom is located close to the first but with ample space between rooms for privacy. These two rooms also have between them a linen closet / storage room. The second bedroom is fitted with a king size metal frame bed, night stands with lamps and a spacious walk-in closet. The bathroom is identical to that of bedroom one.
All of the four en-suite bathrooms are identical in character; they are all very large with open roof showers covered by a mesh.
Dining and living area: Returning to the main entrance of the villa, a stroll under the covered veranda leads to the kitchen, dining and living area whilst walking past the court yard style garden and pool. Although the kitchen and the dining and living areas are separate, there is a feel of uniformity between the rooms similar to that of an open floor concept.
The living room is tastefully furnished with imported Italian sofas, side tables with lamps, a coffee table, television cabinet and other elite tasteful pieces. The dining area is furnished with a hand crafted rustic wooden dining table with two rustic wooden benches and traditional chairs placed at the short ends. The living and indoor dining area have custom made folding wooden doors to allow the house to be kept fully open on both sides or closed for privacy as one chooses.
The kitchen is just few steps away; it is fitted with professional grade stainless steel appliances including a double door refrigerator, five burner stove, convectional oven, microwave oven and dish washer and other small appliances. The cabinets are Italian and are pure white in colour and topped with marble which was carefully chosen to enhance the space. A large island unit with butchers block adorns the kitchen and includes stools for enjoying casual breakfast or coffee. Adjoining the kitchen is a large pantry.
Bedrooms 3 & 4: Further down the large veranda from the living area is the master suite which is accessible from both sides of the Villa. This room has a king size four poster bed, night stands with lamps, lounge chair, walk-in closet and other delicate touches. The bathroom compliments this room as it is decorated with white vanity, walk-in open roof shower and other elegant touches.
A little further is the last bedroom; this room is perfect for children or two sharing.

Summary: A beautiful home in a beautiful location. Quiet, relaxing and spacious enough for privacy even if a few couples are in your group. Fantastic views of the lagoon and ocean beyond and just a short drive to great beaches and restaurants. Our 7th trip to the Longhouse and won't be our last!

Summary: The Long house is paradise found! My husband and I spent 6 weeks in this beautiful home. It begins with an elegant stone entry and big doors that open to gardens and sky. The next thing you see is a glowing infinity pool and then the view that goes out across inlets of sea, lush green hills and big sky view. I often found myself standing on the veranda and just looking, the changing sky here is a show in itself. The kitchen opens to the outdoors and living space, every wall in this house opens up to catch the wind and bring in the sun or to create shade. It is like living outside but with the comforts of the indoors. We loved the sunrises on the back patio and the sunsets out by the pool. We would come home from the beach, pool dip and then grab our bottle of wine, situate the lounges and tuck in for our evening sunset, it was different and spectacular every night! It became our evening movie and afterwards the star gazing was the night cap. This home is cool, breezy and opens up so much that occasionally a bird would soar right through the living room. One day I looked up into the eyes of a cute little bird perched on the couch across from me, just checking me out. We loved the wild Donkeys that live along the road, while there, a foul was born, he would peek out from behind his mama with his thick bangs, so cute. The Long house is beautifully done for the ultimate Caribbean vacation. Nick and Mossy took perfect care of us. This place really is an Oasis of tranquility

Summary: Nicely remote, very open house, beautiful pool, comfortable beds. No ice maker in the fridge but our escort to the house told us that so we bought ice. The house does not have air condoning which we knew when we made the reservation but we didn't know we would have extreme heat during our visit which made us very hot and unable to escape the heat. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit.

Summary: This property was amazing. Waking up the the view of the bay each morning was priceless. I do wished AC was installed in each bedroom and the road paved. Otherwise the best vacation ever. Family is everything and this property brought us all a bit closer

Summary: What an absolutey beautiful home! At first we were taken aback by the location which seemed "way out somewhere" and then no air conditioning but soon fell in love with the home and grounds and the beautiful island breezes that flow throughout the home. We often laughed that to "turn on the A/C" was just to simply open the gorgeous mahogany shutters and let the breeze cool the house - it was so relaxing...what a gift! The house is in a very secluded part of the island away from the hustle and bustle of St. John's but still within 30 minutes to Nelson's Dockyard where we enjoyed an amazing lunch at "The Boom" - highly recommended! Other than that venture we cooked at home as we love to cook. The kitchen is fully equipped - we did have an adventure learning to cook on a charcoal grill which was new to us but fun! The grocery store experience resulted in a bit of "sticker shock" but this is an Island that has to import everything so just be prepared$$$ I cannot say enough about the house - it is appropriately called the "Longhouse" because it IS! LOL - but the heart of it is the beautiful living room, dining room, kitchen and outdoor covered patio overlooking the MAGNIFICENT WARM INFINITY POOL! It is the most amazing pool we have ever enjoyed in 15 years of villa rentals. And to sit and watch the hummingbirds, finches & doves working through the landscape was just a treat! Nick (via messaging) & Mossy (on island) were fabulous hosts and responded to every request/concern!

Summary: Beautiful remote location overlooking a lagoon. The property is idylic. Well appointed and has everything you need for a chilled out holiday, comfy beds, outdoor dining, barbecue and lovely pool. Amazing sunsets.Hosts are superb and will take good care of you on arrival etc. Can't recommend enough. You need a car to go places and see the island.

Summary: Love the Longhouse. 5th Stay in 7 years and would have been more if not for Covid. The perfect blend of a quiet out of the way tropical oasis but with all the comforts of a great resort and only minutes away from some great beaches and fantastic restaurants. The views are the best, and the breeze off the sea along with a great pool makes the Longhouse a wonderful place to spend a hot lazy day or days. Communication with Nick and Mossy is top notch and the maid Mercedes is a pure delight. Home a week now and can't wait for our next visit.

Summary: We booked The Long House for the festivities this year and spent the most glorious week in this very special house. Made even more perfect with the Christmas tree that Nick so kindly arranged for our stay. The house is spacious and airy, with gorgeous views, spectacular sunsets, and sunrises for the early birds. With a small baby joining us on this trip, we spent much time in the house enjoying the pool, and watching him learn to swim, but the beaches are just a short drive away, half moon was our favorite. Kayaking with turtles on the still waters by the house was another highlight. Nick and Mossy are on hand for any questions and responses are pretty much instant, they are amazing hosts, and Mercedes the house keeper is a gem. We can’t wait to return!
