Positive: The apartment, though it wasn't the Ocean Crest, was lovely and well-maintained. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the instructions were easy to follow. The views are great. The neighborhood is walkable with many restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby.
Negative: By an unfortunate coincidence, we ended up not staying at the Ocean Crest. I missed an email from the host that had come in among other emails with suggestions about what to see and do in Vancouver, our confirmation, and our early check-in approval, among others, stating that our booking had arrived at the same time as another booking and, as a result, they were transferring us to another property. We ended up in an apartment in Chinatown instead of Gastown, where we had wanted to be. We did not realize this until we arrived in Vancouver and received the address for our new apartment. Additionally, although we had been told we could check in early, upon arrival at the apartment, the cleaning crew was still working, and the property manager turned us away. We had to pay $40 to park in the garage while we waited 2+ hours for the apartment to be ready.
